Have you heard of ForePredict?

No, I am not talking about an impending golf ball coming in your direction.

No, it is something else, however it is at the forefront of its field.

Introducing Fore Protocol

Do you like to predict the outcome of events?

I know I often look at window and pick two water droplets. Which one will fall down to the bottom of the window first.

Droplet A will reach the bottom first. Yes or No?

Okay so I don't do that every day, I mean it doesn't rain in Scotland every day. So by default I can't do it everyday.

That was a bit extreme I know, but it introduces predictions...

So stay tuned for what is coming up. Actually this will be the first in a series of weekly articles exploring Fore Protocol.

Introduction to Fore Predict

FORE Protocol is a peer-to-peer predictions protocol. As the name suggests, we call it Fore Predict and it is all about $FORE.

This basically means create predictions markets. Then other users can participate,whilst certain users can validate these markets.

FORE Predict Markets

These markets that we are talking about are comprised of four primary roles:

1. Creators
Without creators there would be no markets. So creators as teh name suggests create new markets on the protocol. An example marker is shown below.

There we have an example of a Crypto prediction market. In this case, will Bitcoin reach $50000 by January 2024.

2. Players
Remember my drop example, the prediction is either a Yes or No. You can see that the token being used not surprisingly as we are on the Fore protocol is $FORE. A player decides if the outcome will be YES or if it will be NO.

3. Analysts
Some people might want to earn rewards without having to make a prediction.
If that is the case then being ananlyst is for them. Analysts perform the role of the oracle and validate the market results.

4. Dispute resolution roles
Sometimes there are disputes! Yes we would not be humans if we did not have disputes. Usually they arise due to a poorly designed market. For example if there is not a clearly stated reference source.

In the Fore Predict Markets it is the dispute creators and High Guard who ensure that the analysts are working correctly.
