Hello Hello to all you wonderful Hivians

Long live #ttt 😁🎼 and #threetunetuesday

I love getting my inspiration from different places. On Sunday Rangers got a decent win and someone said they were an Eminado.

I loved working in Africa, I loved the colourful clothes that many of the woman wore and I loved so much of their music. To me I found it upbeat and full of life.

You might remember I posted Get Iron and Calm Down with Rema rocking the Ballon D'Or for Nigeria a few weeks ago with Afrobeats songs from Rema.

Well today we are going to feature the Queen of Afrobeats herself Tiwa Savage.

Tiwa Savage Ft. Don Jazzy - Eminado

I mentioned inspiration was received on Sunday. Rangers did win and a certain @wongi commented that she was an Eminado. A word that I had heard of from somewhere.

A wee google search popped up the reason why it rang a bell... It means goodluck charm and was sung ten years ago by Tiwa Savage from her album Once Upon A Time.

Rangers do have a massive month coming up and need all luck they can get, so yes an Eminado is needed!

Tiwa Savage - Koroba

From goodluck charms to buckets...

Please correct me if I am wrong but Koroba I believe means bucket and Tiwa is saying Carry Your Bucket.

It is also a hairstyle and looks like a bucket hat, so yes I can see what she means.

I do love languages and over the years have picked up loads of words and phrases here and there.

My top travel tip is to learn a bit of the language pf the country that you are travelling/working/living in!

That is one of my biggest gripes with British and native English speakers in general, as a rule they make no fluffing attempt to speak the local language.

Trust me when you do, then people open up and are friendly.

Spyro ft Tiwa Savage - Who is your Guy?

When I was playing Tiwa Savage songs on Alexa yesterday Who is your Guy came on and of course I recognised it from AFRITUNES WEEK 75 - WHO’S YOUR GUY? (A BIRTHDAY SONG) sung by @deraaa for me on my birthday in August, talk about a wonderful birthday present.

image.png

I hope that you enjoyed these Afrobeats tunes from Tiwa Savage.

Which was your favourite (if any) ?

Note: The three YouTube videos that I have shared are not owned by me, I am simply spreading great music on Hive.

I wish that you all have a brilliant rest of your week, and until we meet again enjoy your tunes 🎶🎵🎶

It's definitely "Who's your guy?" for my favourite among these 😁
I watched the birthday present, Deraaa did justice to the song especially with the lyrics she played with.

Nice songs suggestion Tengo, thanks for sharing it with us here 😊

That is the Queen of Afrobeat herself.😋

Who is your guy, see as you dey like beans and rice 😍

These three songs are some of my favorites from Tiwa, and I enjoy dancing to them on your blog.

And you are right, koroba is a Yoruba language that means bucket or pail. They actually have the hair style, like this one.

That is right, and the hair style reminds me of the bucket hats. They are catchy tunes and beans and rice yes I will always remember that!

I remember in primary school they'd ask to make flower in the basket as the hairstyle for the week.

Yeah Tiwa has been a favourite of a lot of people for long. Her style of music has always been spectacular. Who's Your Guy was hyped a lot but I think I like Koroba More. Nice showcase Tengo.

Very interesting. I've never heard of her before, but I like the style of music. I am going to have to check out more of her stuff based on these three songs that you shared. I was given a chance to go to Africa a while ago, but things fell through and it didn't happen. It would have been an interesting experience I think.
