Aren't I sweet enough!

If ever there was a prompt made for me, then the one I read a wee while ago is it!

If ever an #edtopic had Ed all over it then this is the one!

Where to start...

How about the beginning!!!

SOMETHING SWEET

Check out the prompt from @mypathtofire and #edtopic Ecency Discord Weekly Posting Topic: SOMETHING SWEET

I do have a bit of a sweet tooth although I am more of an alcoholic chocoholic!

We have our favourites I think!

Scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam!

I remember back in the day flying up and down to London, my favourite flight would be an afternoon flight on British Airways.

Because they had complimentary scones and clotted cream!

The post from Steve mentioned Easter!

Well in the UK that means Hot Cross Buns!

These were from Sainsbury's a UK supermarket chain, and their a wee bit more expensive Taste the Difference Range.

These were apple and cinnamon, so pop in the oven.

Spread a wee dod of butter and they melt in your mouth!

We don't tend to eat desserts at home. Although ....

yesterday when I went to the grocery store, I saw six crumpets discounted to 20 pence! I mean 20 fluffing pence, I could not say no!

Mrs T decided she wanted peanut butter and maple syrup (you can tell she is from across the pond) and it was flipping delicious!

So that is about as sweet a dessert as Mrs T will have.

Eating out though, for me is completely different!

That was a three dessert medley that we put together when dining out with @dreemsteem @penderis and @samsmith1971 at a quite fantastic village pub in Anstruther Scotland!

I mentioned that I was a chocoholic though and I was tempted to eat one of my eggs...

I mean there is no wrong time for chocolate is there?

Unfortunately I had eaten all these or I would have given one to Super Eli

Somebody loves an After Eight and quite right they are soooo addictive!

But no, I saw what was read to eat whilst chatting to @deraaa

It is Easter and that means Easter eggs...

Yes it was a Cadbury's Easter Egg. In days gone by the treats would be inside the egg.

Now I think it's time for a cup of tea to wash all that chocolate down with!

Thank you for a fun prompt to get me back into writing after last week's debacle Steve!

So come on and share your sweet things!

Thanks for visiting and enjoy those sweet somethings!

Those all look extemely tempting Ed!! You are living the good life there with scones and hot cross buns. I too remember the days when there were some smarties or chocolate buttons in the eggs. I still like Cadburys chocolate buttons! lol

You are very sweet, hehe. Except when you show a box of after eights, and you've eaten them all without saving any of them for me. 😂

You know I'm also a chocoholic 😉

I am a bit of a chocoholic too. I pretty much like all sweets, but chocolate is one of my weaknesses. I don't think I could do the syrup and peanut butter thing, but I have been known to do peanut butter and honey on toast. That is delicious!

I was surprised by the peanut butter and then the peanut butter and syrup, it was tasty!
Oh honey on toast is just hmmmm!

I admit to being the worst sweetaholic ever! Scones with clotted cream & strawberry jam, hot cross buns with butter melting, but have never had crumpets with peanut butter & syrup! Must try that next time.
Ed, I've been such a good girl, have stayed away from choccies & all the candies but now you've got me thinking of a pudding for dinner! All your fault!
Oh dear, I see I commented from old mother's account, it's Lizzie xxx

Awww, how tempting is all that, yummy.
Guess what, we have homemade Hot Cross Buns now!
Actually, first time for me to taste them, because this is not something you will find in Bulgaria, but with English hubby, who loves cooking, I am blessed. 😉

aha that explains some of your words you use from time to time Neli hehe
Yeah if you can bake they are easy to make! I think British men tend to be feeders and love to cook!

I mean there is no wrong time for chocolate is there?

Indeed there is not! It pairs well with all the other necessities: coffee, ice-cream and, occasionally, stout. It's a wonder food!

Did those Cadbury eggs used to have toys in them like Kinder Surprises?

If Mrs T is peri, then low to no sugar is exactly right for her. More for you! Peanut butter and maple syrup sounds delicious...

I LOVE hot cross buns.. wish I had time to make some! Sugar free though haha.

She does not have much sugar and not got a sweet tooth, so low to no sugar is quite natural for her.
