This week will feature one group and they happen to be American and were founded in 2008 in Las Vegas. You might know the name but I am sure you will recognise some of the songs!

Tune 1 Imagine Dragons - Believer
Yeah the band is Imagine Dragons.
Mrs T was having her Sunday afternoon video call with her family in America.
One of her sisters who loves to give one of our Alexa instructions asked her to play Believer by Imagine Dragons. The other sister popped up and we had an afternoon of listening to Imagine Dragons.
I am sure you have heard that one at some point.
Are you a fire breather?
That is the name Imagine Dragons fans give each other!
Tune 2 Imagine Dragons - Thunder
I mentioned the band is from Las Vegas. Well that happens to be one of my favourite American cities.
The lead singer Dan Reynolds and I have something in common, we both suffer from Ankylosing Spondylitus.
Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) is a type of arthritis characterized by long-term inflammation of the joints of the spine typically where the spine joins the pelvis.
Fair play to him though, in 2016 he partnered with Novartis's ThisASLife to raise awareness about the severe inflammatory disease.
I feel for him, he is 35 now and I know it will get worse.
Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) is a systemic rheumatic disease, meaning it affects the entire body and has no known cure.
Because it affects the whole body, there are a raft of side illnesses connected that if you are unlucky you can catch. From uveitis to ulcerative colitis it is a pain in the fluffing arse!
I would not wish it on my worst enemy, and I see he suffers from depression and has counseling, well I am not surprised unfortunately.

Tune 3 Imagine Dragons - Whatever It Takes
So the Fire Breathers amongst might have twigged that all three tunes were from their 2017 album Evolve which was a fluffing blockbuster of an album.
I think they have had five albums now and that was the third.
Needless to say I have been listening to more since Sunday!
Now then, do you know why Imagine Dragons are called Imagine Dragons?
Neither do I!
It is actually an anagram of the original name that the band wanted ...
The plot thickens!!
Some people thinks it is Ragged Insomnia
Thinking about Dan Reynolds and AS then he will often suffer from insomnia so it could well be that.
Furthering that belief is that in the music video of song 'On top of the world' if you pause at 34 seconds you can see 'Ragged Insomnia' which is anagram for Imagine Dragons. There is also a Ragged Insomnia FB page which of course means nothing, but you never know!

Love the film clip on the second one. I think I've heard them on insta reels - sounds like that kinda of music. Quite catchy.

I've heard three of these tunes "believer", "thunder" and "top of the world" and I know their lyrics word for word. I would love to pick a favorite but I just can't. I love imagine dragons and his music.

I remember when Imagine Dragons first jumped on the scene. They were pretty different from some of the other stuff that was out there then. I listened to their first album over and over again for a while. Great stuff! I am glad they are still around doing their thing.

Yes! Imagine Dragons rock! They're actually my son's favourite band, too. Great choices! Not sure if you've ever played Beat Saber, but Imagine Dragons songs are the best to play too!

I didn't know these lads were from Vegas, pretty cool city alright, and someplace you have to go once at least in your lifetime. I have been twice and had a great time, but would not be rushing back. Plenty of other American cities I prefer and find more authentic. It's a serious city though, my second time I arrived driving a convertible Mustang and arrived just as it was getting dark, that was seriously cool experience. Parked up in the MGM, three days later it took me 20 minutes to find my car, I suppose a 5000 room hotel is going to have a fairly big car park like!
Vegas is unique which is what I like about it. lol 20 minutes was quite fast finding your car!
