I can't wait to take my Shots
Hello music lovers and Hello hivers!
It's Tuesday and I am feeling lucky!!
It is D-Day! Today is the day I am getting my injections delivered.
After getting my MRIs last year and having various blood tests I was approved to receive biological treatment and today is my first delivery of my Adalimumab self inject pen thingys.
Never have I been so excited to stab myself haha!
So we are going to have Shots / Injection tunes!
I decided I would pick three tunes with Shots or Injection in the title.
I can only think of two off the top of my head, so we shall be googling the third!

Where to start
Normally I find something that has triggered my tunes for today...
Today is no exception. From being told I was suitable for treatment, I then had to have my case approved by the hospital, to then getting a company to handle my drugs. And today between 1.36pm and 3.36pm they are due to deliver two doses of the drug!
This is something I have had since I was 12 and it has rekt my neck and spine. Fused vertebrae aren't fun. It is active in my lower spine so the hope is the biological drug can give me some relief. If it works then brilliant, and of course I wish it was around all those years ago when the doctors said there was fuck all wrong with me.
So without further ado let's get this pain over!!
Tune 1 Imagine Dragons - Shots
I never need an excuse to play me some Imagine Dragons.
They are most definitely one of my favourite bands of the last decade or so.
Shots was released as the third and final single from their second studio album "Smoke + Mirrors" from 2015.
Fun fact about Shots was that the music video for Shots was directed by Robert Hales and was inspired by the artwork of painter Tim Cantor, whose art also features on the album's cover.

Such a fun upbeat song and seeing a bevvy of beauties is always good!

Shots is a very popular song by the electronic duo LMFAO, featuring Lil Jon.
Shots is from LMFAO's debut studio album "Party Rock" which was released in 2009, and is also on Lil Jon's album "Crunk Rock".
The song is known for its high-energy, party-focused vibe and has me in the mood to rock Tuesday!

Tune 3 Stefflon Don - 16 Shots
16 Shots was released in 2016, and appears on the "Real Ting Mixtape"
It is sang and also co-directed by the British rapper Stefflon Don.
So yes I know not injection shots or even drinking shots but hell shooting shots are still painful!
A poignant strong song though seeing as we had Women's Day at the weekend and depicts her rescuing her mother!

I always forget about Imagine Dragons, that first album of theirs was pretty great from the first song to the last. I haven't listened to much of their other stuff though besides what was on the radio. Good luck with your shots today, I hope they work well for you. I don't think I could do it personally, I hate needles!
Oh yeah their first album was a banger. Mind you it is often the first album of a band that is my favourite. Well my mum was a type 1 diabetic and had to inject herself with needles and syringes, this is just like an epi so I can do that. But yes giving myself a syringe injection would be bloody hard, if not a no no !
I'm a bit of a wimp anyway, so I am sure you will be fine!
Hehe well I am waiting till I see the rheumatology nurse on Thursday to see how to do it properly!

I was sorry to read this, @tengolotodo, but you appear to be taking it well. Mixing having to give a shot to yourself with choosing what music to have in the background was a very interesting approach to getting through it.
Of these 3, I thought Imagine Dragons was the best.
You have been through a lot. Having finally gotten to this point, I hope this treatment provides the desired help.
Thank you so much. I have had it since I was 12 and it has done most of the damage to my spine already etc but it would be nice if the treatment works and it helps all the people that get diagnosed now with it. There is hope and relief for them.

Oh! Sorry to hear that you have some medical issues with your neck and spine. I hope this won't give you too much pain. So you're doing a self-injection with Adalimumab? If I was just near I would love to volunteer to do the injection 😊but anyway, it's just like a pinch, so no need to worry, just listen to the Tune 2 LMFAO 😍 Be safe!
Salamat for that, but I have those medical issues since I was 12. The difference is now they have these biological treatments so I thought why not see if it can save my lower spine from fusing.
How kind of you to offer to do my injections! Yeah I was reading about it today, so seems easy enough. I remember my mother being type 1 diabetic had to give herself injections of insulin with clunky metal syringes so this pen thing will be easy in comparison.

You're welcome 😍 Good decision that you try this treatment. Yeah, the pen is less painful than the normal insulin syringe. I'm a Registered Nurse in the Philippines, that's why I offer my voluntary services 😍. Hope this treatment will lessen the pain and help save the fusion of your lower spine. Salamat CJ, well once I read through it all I will just do it. I was supposed to go to the hospital and do it the first time with a nurse. But they fluffed up and made it a telephone call... which is pointless!
I shall do it soon.
