Hello Hello Hivians

I trust that you have been all enjoying your weekend, or at least relaxing!

Three weeks ago I posted The turbulent tale of the lone carrot regaling you of our online grocery supermarket delivery experience.

We had been recovering from flu and had an online grocery order delivered and there was one fluffing carrot! See below ...

Well something happened today which had me in hysterics and Mrs T said I had to share on a post.

I had made another online grocery order on Friday.

Yes it was from the Supermarket I ordered from three weeks...

Perhaps, I should have learnt from my mistake before, however the food is great and the prices are now pretty reasonable (and they don't have substitutes).

Then this morning, I received a text this morning which said Good news!

The good news being that all my order was there, there were no missing items nor was there a need to substitute anything.

Do you order your groceries online?

Well over here, the delivery guy will have crates stacked up outside the front door, then knocks to say he is there.

Then it is a mad rush to get the products from the crates, so he can be on his way.

Do you see the carrots at the bottom of the picture. Yes they got the 1 kilo correct this time, no more 1 loose carrot!

I am sure the title gave it all away ...

Today is the 2nd of April so it was not an April Fool's joke!!

As you can see from wee collage of pictures you may well know what happened this time ....

I can hear all from the way in Venezuela @coquicoin saying Only You!

Yes my bunch of bananas was this ...

What the actual fluff is going on?

It was one loose banana!

When I made the order, I made sure that all items went into the shopping cart and the price went up accordingly!

And that ladies and gentlemen is the banana, that is what I got with my shopping...

Surely some mistake thought I...

Well at least they did not overcharge me when I looked at my receipt!

I ordered a lot of groceries online, especially when not having a car was a must. I had so many incidents over the years, some more rediculous than others but this one made me laugh (although I know the annoyance of them messing up all too well)

I always get things corrected though, thankfully in your case they didn't overcharge you :)

I ordered 3 bananas and got 3 bunches! I was giving bananas away to the whole neighborhood!

Haha, Super Ed!!! That only happens to you 🤣🤣 Perhaps in the supermarket they read your post about the lonely carrot, and they said, ok, let's do it now with the banana, and see what this mad man has to tell this time 😂😂😂

PS: Don't think I didn't notice the galaxy chocolate eggs you bought, hehe 🍫🥚

When we order online and have it delivered the order is rarely correct. There is always at least one thing that is off.

I've never ordered food delivered, not even from restaurants. The one time I've eaten delivered pizza was when I stayed with a friend for a couple of days, and when she suggested pizza for dinner I thought we were going to bake some, so I prepared to go shop for ingredients, but nooo... she got on the phone and ordered pizzas delivered from the pizza place across the street. To avoid walking 15 meters!

I can see that it might be useful if one can't get to a store, but we usually have enough food in the cupboards and freezer to last a few weeks, so the only thing we'd miss are fresh vegetables and fruits. Which doesn't seem to be what they do best anyway? ;)

Good thing the delivery man rang twice. 👍

(I did and would still if I could because no impulse buying and my shopping admin sucks - no surprise there - I always forget summink and have to go back to the shops :/)

Expensive banana, not fully ripened on the tree (brown paper packet on sunny warm windowsill should do the trick)!!

Perhaps a hint for a hand of banana's from down South!

Food prices have gone wild everywhere, we still have bananas at a reasonable price phew, only 1 banana!

At least your bananas are still good value, but yes the food prices like energy prices are just bonkers!
