No joke it's April HPUD or Hive Power Up Day so LFG

Hello Hello Hivians

The First of April is today, I kid you not!

Did you get pranked today? Thankfully I didn't... Do you even have April Fool's Day? I remember in Spain they had a similar day at the end of December!

The first of April is the start of the second quarter of 2023 and hopefully the start of Spring.

The start of a much more active outdoor life here in the UK for the next six months, which in theory should give more content to blog about!

Which is a great thing because April is Hive Blog Posting Month (aka #HiveBloPoMo).

This is a twice yearly event the other month being November when it is also the podcasting month, which was a heap of fun, and where Matilda first made an appearance on this blockchain.

So thank you to those two lovely ladies @traciyork and @epodcaster who inform and organise us in such awesome fashion!

I won't go into much except to say that there is a HiveBloPoMo community and in that post Traci gives a cracking wee table with suggest prompts daily!

Gordon Bennett, here I am having written 246 words and I have not even got to the point of this fluffing post!

Talking of Gordon Bennett, you know Scots know we invented the world and everything in it...

Do you get easily sidetracked?

I fluffing well do, and this led me to a cracking wee site which led to a cracking definition of Gordon Bennett!

April Fool's it was not.

Today of course is the first and that means It's here! Hive Power Up Day for April 1st, 2023 thank you again to the Hive Power Up Day Queen @traciyork for organising this, it is also the start of a new Hive Power Up Month! Do check out that post from the wonderful @hivebuzz coz you know you want more badges right!

First things first lemme power up...

BOOM okay okay I know it was only 10 Hive

Well there is a reason for that.
Since the first of December, I have been powering up one Hive every single day, so I need liquid Hive for that.

If you were observant on my status screenshot you will see I had savings of 112.600 that is because not only do I power up 1 Hive every day, but I send Hive to my savings everyday as I follow the Saturday Savers savings challenge.

Something you should all do, trust me you don't miss it and look how quickly it builds up, yes I am doing HBD as well and of course we get interest on that HBD. 20 fluffing percent that is insane I tell you!

So there you go, I powered up 10 Hive and now I am at 4112 HP for my 18 months on the Hive blockchain. I will take that!

I love how you brought us along with your writing, then going through Golden Bennett and then moving on to Hive and Power up hehe.

I did get pranked. It was no fun. The "joke" made sense, and was something I'd feared would happen, so I believed it. Happily, for me, it turned out it wasn't true!

HivePower is good, and I know that saved HBD gets a nice interest rate, but what's the purpose of putting Hive into savings instead of powering it up?

Please give a !HUG to Matilda when you see her next. And since @hoosie already gave out my address, you might as well tell Matilda that I've stocked up on more drinks in case I get visitors...
