It is Tuesday and that of course means that it's #ttt or #threetunetuesday and so it's time to share some tunes with you!

@ablaze started #ttt 113 weeks ago! Go check out what it is all about on his latest post Preston Reed for Three Tune Tuesday - Week 112 - 10 HBI shares to be won!

Do go support @ablaze as without him we would not have this mental fun musical activity that you can win HSBI from! I am happy to be one of the TEN sponsors and it is kinda fun checking out music from all over this global village of ours!

Long live #ttt 😁🎼 and #threetunetuesday

Mrs T loves her YouTube and often we will watch that after dinner.

The only problem with YouTube is the lack of variety in the ads.

There has been one ad recently in which we both loved the music. I don't really pay attention to oe watch ads but I do listen to music on them...

I thought it was Robert Smith and The Cure making a comeback in this ad.

Let's listen to the tune and see if you remember it or know the ad.

CCFX - The One To Wait

After a bit of digging around we found out that it was not The Cure. Well we knew that but darn the beginning is so much The Cure like!

The singer was female though, so not quite Robert Smith! CCFX were formed from two bands and this is their most famous song.

The ad in case you are interested is for miu miu, the Prada subshoot.

CCFX - Venetian Screens

Until Mrs T did her research neither of us had heard of CCFX and I think this tune Venetian Screens is a close second to The One To Wait.

If you are interested the tunes are from 2017 and taken from their debut EP, so relatively new for me!

CCFX - Ode

No, this is not an Ode to The Cure or Robert Smith.

I mentioned earlier that CCFX were formed from two bands, well it is a collaboration between members of synth pop duo CC Dust and experimental post-punk group Trans FX, both from Olympia, Washington.

This is what last.fm has to say in the bands biography...

The band's songs are moody, nostalgic, and poignant, with Mary Jane Dunphe's strong vocals expressing feelings of isolation over midtempo breakbeats and Peter Hook-like basslines. Aside from Dunphe, the group's members consist of Mirče Popovic, Chris McDonnell, and David Jacques; Dunphe and McDonnell also have a radically different country-rock project called the County Liners.

I must admit that I love her voice, and am intrigued to listen to County Liners!

I hope that you enjoyed these CCFX tunes.

Which was your favourite (if any) ?

Note: The three YouTube videos that I have shared are not owned by me, I am simply spreading great music on Hive.

I wish that you all have a brilliant rest of your week, and until we meet again enjoy your tunes 🎶🎵🎶

Wow, very interesting. Her vocal style is a lot like Robert Smith and the sound is a lot like The Cure when you first hear it. I hadn't ever heard of them, but they're pretty good!

Good lords! This sounds like The Cure revisited! Bizarre 👀

Torn between outrage because you can't do The Cure... :( and a desire to hear more of them because... well... The Cure and that guitar and melancholy melody.

Well found, Mr T.

Send regards to Ms T!

Yeah that is why I had to find out who the band was playing the music on the ad as it sounded so like something The Cure would play. But The Cure they are not.

I must agree.

Too similar to appreciate. You can't "do" The Cure. They're The Cure!

One of my all time favourites ever... extended version ❤️

How's this intro, huh?

Now you know why we were intent on finding out who they were!
To discover it was a female singing was quite a discovery.

Having listened to some of her other projects now, I can say she is her and certainly not trying to Robert Smith.

Always great finding new music N:)

Thank you and hope you are doing well down there!

Ah... copy copy. I'll dig around a bit deeper then.

She does have a unique voice for sure! Had no idea it was a woman.

I played it on Spotify btw and some really interesting new stuff popped up on my Spotify feed so thanks. You do find some interesting stuff!

Happy #ttt!

Wow, that first song really sounds like The Cure, Super Ed.
CCFX, of course, is new to me, and I like very much the singer's voice.

The song I like the most is the first one 🌀

Yeah The One To Wait is my favourite and that is the one that was on the ad that started us hunting for CCFX in the first place!

Hope you are having an awesome Tuesday Super Eli 🔵💙🔵

Wow, very very Cure-esque no two ways about it. Some Cure aficionados may not like CCFX, but I do like them, defo worth a listen and totally new to me (I don't shop at Prada!! ha ha) Who knows, if the Cure never existed, maybe she would have sang like this anyway? I guess we'll never know, good tunes anyway.
