Mrs T loves her YouTube and often we will watch that after dinner.

Last night we were watching a guy metal detect in a farmers field in France.

Next there was an invasion of wild boars, they way he said it sounded just like Wild Boys!

And so this weeks ttt post was born!

I was never a New Romantic nor a big fan of theirs, but respect where respect is due.

Duran Duran - The Wild Boys

The band were Duran Duran who were massive back in the day, but I am sure will be brand new to a fair few of you reading this.

We are kicking off with The Wild Boys which was from live album Arena but was the only studio track and as per Smooth Radio:

The idea for the song came from video director Russell Mulcahy, who wanted to make a full-length film based on the surreal 1971 novel The Wild Boys: A Book of the Dead by William S Burroughs.

Duran Duran - A View to a Kill

Any James Bond fans might remember this theme tune from A View to a Kill which was Roger Moore's last appearance but I will remember it for Grace Jones. Reminder to self, do a ttt about Grace Jones!

Apparently in life if you don't ask then you don't get ...

So bassist John Taylor, a lifelong Bond fan, approached producer Cubby Broccoli at a party, and drunkenly asked "When are you going to get someone decent to do one of your theme songs?" source

The rest as they say is history!

Duran Duran - The Reflex

The Reflex was their last number one single in the UK.

Apparently this is the product when you have drank a few bottles of wine. You record a song with no meaning what it is about!

I hope that you enjoyed these Duran Duran tunes.

Which was your favourite (if any) ?

Note: The three YouTube videos that I have shared are not owned by me, I am simply spreading great music on Hive.

I wish that you all have a brilliant rest of your week, and until we meet again enjoy your tunes 🎶🎵🎶

I've always been a bit of a Duran Duran fan. I remember that James Bond film well. My dad used to have all of them on VHS tape, so we were kind of junkies back in the day. I still haven't seen the two newest ones from Daniel Craig yet.

I think I was more of a Bond fan as a kid but I did like their music. Ah Daniel Craig ones, me neither!

Great band! Always been one of my favorites. Those are three great ones, the problem with their music is narrowing it down to three!

Oldest brother was addicted to the books and Bond movies, earlier ones only, he found they became silly later for his taste.

More Grace Jones! Dude, just bring on more Grace Jones! 😂

I know these songs! My sister was a huge Duran Duran fan back The Day (tm) and I had no choice but to listen to these. I refused to enjoy them back then due to my sister fan-girling over them like she did, but today I can definitely enjoy them.

I was never really into Duran Duran myself, but can't argue that they didn't have good tunes, for whatever reason just not a band I ever got into. I can see why many did though, they had a distinctive sound and I reckon they were good live.
