PIZZA Guild Brawl Report #15 - Land Ho!

Land 1.0 is finally here, and we saw a rush of people go out and survey their land in hopes of striking it rich with a Mythic Castle or Keep. We saw some extremely lucky claims with stories of people owning 1 plot of land finding themselves sitting on a Keep. We probably won't know the true value of these until land 1.5 or even 2.0, but it'll be worth much more than my 3 plots I surveyed seen below.

Nothing special here, just common land with no magic or creatures (occupied) to speak of. But I'm hopeful, nonetheless, that land will bring a new layer to the game that will keep Splinterlands fun and exciting for years to come.

Now let's get to the brawls...

Battle #1 - Loss
Ruleset - Aimless / Explosive Weaponry / Tis But Scratches

Oh so close! Down to the final HP for this loss. Due to the randomness of Scattershot, this could have been played 100 times and I could've pulled out at least a few wins. This time however, it goes down as a Loss.

Battle #2 - Win
Ruleset - Reverse Speed / Target Practice / Armored Up

With Reverse Speed and Armored Up, you tend to see Earth/Magic used. This time was no exception as we both chose Obsidian. The tanky Mycellic Slipspawn with Taunt saved the day, drawing in and taking all the punishment while my offensive slowly took out their magic monsters one by one. By the time Slipspawn is killed, my opponent is left with melee attackers who are easy prey for my magic users. This was over in 5 Rounds.

Only 2 fights in this Brawl Round and I split them 1-1. I really would've liked to have won that first one, but it's much better than going winless.
