My Week in Review for 9/14/2024, Another Fantastic Week!

I hope everyone is having an enjoyable weekend so far! It's still early Saturday for me so I sure am, although I think it's time for another cup of coffee. Some time back I joined the Saturday Savers club to help me focus on my goals here on Hive. Prior to this my goals were more amorphous and subject to change rather quickly. Now with a post devoted to the goals weekly I have found I have had more growth that I ever would have had otherwise. Plus there a lot of great people participating and you can learn from their posts and gather ideas to help maximize your own growth.

This past week we've seen a nice recovery in Hive prices, hopefully the September crypto curse is a thing of the past! We're halfway through, and so far so good!

Lets jump into the numbers for this past week.

Hive Power

This last week has been another good one in regards to my Hive Power. As of the time of writing up this post I'm currently at 4,604 Hive Power, which is an increase of 104 since last week. It puts me at 92% of my goal which is 5,000 HP before year's end. At this point I'm extremely confident I'll hit the goal sometime in October if all things remain unchanged. That 5K HP is getting closer and closer, I can't wait!

I am continuing to grow as organically as possible, because if I can reach dolphin status by blogging and reinvesting profits earned from HBD then anyone can. Onboarding and retaining new members is becoming more and more important for Hive to flourish and I hope my story will help get those new people energized to try to do the same!

DUO

I like to mention DUO token because it's a token that I helped create along with @bitcoinman and @bulliontools . As I mentioned above we see a real need to onboard and retain new members in order for Hive to flourish. DUO will support new members and help retain them by delegating part of it's HP to the Hive Onboarding Committee to provide curation and support for those new to Hive. Not only does it help new members but it rewards token stakers generously as well. Once you have 200 DUO staked you are eligible for a daily curation on your quality posts and daily Hive dividends. The more you hold the better the rewards! Plus starting at 500 staked DUO you can use the tipping bot call to reward other's quality posts, and in return you receive the same amount of DUO staked in your account. It pays to give tips with DUO!

I currently have about 840 myself, and I will be gradually increasing my holdings throughout the end of the year. Once I hit 5K HP I may focus more on picking up more chunks of DUO while it's still cheap. Once this tranche of tokens runs out the price will be jumping to 1.5 Hive a piece, right now they are still only one Hive a piece. Buy in early to save some money!

PIMP

This is my secondary goal of the year, or at least it was the main one. Prices went up a bit which slowed down my buying. But I continue to rack up more from curation/staking rewards and from tips. I'm at 28,754 at the moment, and I still have a long way to go to the 50K goal. I haven't given up hope yet on this one, and PIMP is one of my favorite projects here one Hive.

Leo

A few weeks ago I added LEO to the goals for the year, shooting for 1,500 staked this year. I have just over 1,087 right now and continue to keep all the tokens I earn through posting to continue growing my LEO stake. This last week my LEO rewards didn't grow nearly as much as I had hoped, so my LPUD tomorrow may be a little lower than I would like. I still think I'll make the goal this year though!

HSBI

My goal was to achieve 2,000 HSBI this year, I've exceeded that goal by 744! I knew this goal was very attainable and when I surpassed it I wasn't too surprised. But I never thought I would have added so many more after the goal!

I'm up 30 units on the week, pretty sweet!

Before I started to accumulate HSBI I had a grand total of eleven, this was just last year. So I decided to change that and started giving them away as part of a re-blog lottery. Eventually that just got old and was a lot of extra work every day. So now I just do a weekly contest and sponsor events by giving out HSBI prizes to the winners. SIM

I am still holding just over one million of these tokens and have started to slowly buy more. I'm hoping to hit two million later this year. What I like about this token is that is pays out daily Hive dividends, and as a bonus you can place your tokens in a liquidity pool and earn rewards plus you still receive the daily Hive dividends as well. That's a pretty cool feature!

Other Tokens

A few changes here, I am continuing to collect DBOND and DAB. I have both my DBONDs and DABs staked, so the staked DBOND produces more DAB, and the staked DAB produces more DBOND. So they are slowly growing. EDS I'm just continuing to hold just about 100, I did sell off my EDSMM's because the return just wasn't worth it from my point of view. I had better investments that earned more in mind!

Silver

What a difference a week makes! Silver is back above the $30 level with continued strength. With all the uncertainty in the world precious metals are always a wise investment. They will always have value and a great way to build and maintain wealth. Plus with World War 3 threats seem to be growing daily, in the short term we are likely to see more gains.

DUO token
