My Weekly Review on Hive for July 20,2024, Full Steam Ahead!

This has been an interesting week for Hive. Today we've pushed Hive back up above $0.23, and hopefully it will stay there! it's always more fun to watch prices go up than down! It's been a fairly busy week for me as the DUO token project has been keeping me busy. Busy is good I suppose, as they say idle hands are the devil's playground. Or something like that...

I hope you've all been having a good weekend so far, and that you aren't working. Time do dive into my Saturday Savers post. I joined the community because it helps me keep track of my goals here in the ecosystem. Even though I had goals before often they were more passive and I wasn't working towards them as much as I am now.

Hive Power

I'm at 3,748 total HP which is an increase of 98 on the week. Better than I had anticipated and I'm happy about the nice climb. I have been doing my best to grow this account organically so I can prove it's possible to reach 5K HP without bringing funds in from outside of Hive. This way I can use my success to help onboard new Hive members. There really is no better sales tool than a personal success story.

I figure if I average 45 Hive a week I can make it to my goal. I'm short about 1,252 and we have about 28 weeks left in the year. Wish me luck! Also your support is greatly appreciated, thank you everyone!

DUO

I have increased my DUO holdings this week to 721, I purchased 120 before the first tranche sold out. As I mentioned previously this is a project that @bulliontools , @bitcoinman and I started to help the Hive Onboarding Committee (HOC) to onboard and retain new Hive members. The second tranche is now up for sale at one Hive each, and every new tranche is sold at a higher price so it's best to get in early.

DUO offers curations daily on quality posts to those who stake at least 200 tokens and dividends starting on Aug. 1 to those with more than 200 tokens staked. All Hive generated from token purchases goes into HP and will never be powered down. During the month of July all proceeds earned from curation will also go into HP. Come August 90% of earnings from curations (HP, HBD, and tokens) will be converted to liquid Hive and paid out in dividends, the remaining 10% will go into Hive Power to continue to strengthen curation of DUO holders and newly onboarded members to the Hive ecosystem.

PIMP

I'm still trying to reach my goal of 50K PIMP by years end. It has become much more difficult as the price has increased significantly lately. I currently have 25,940 so I added about 300 last week from dividends and tips. I have been more focused on DUO so my progress here has slowed, but not all hope is lost. I still want to achieve the goal, I'll just have to watch for good price point opportunities!

As I've mentioned in the past I like PIMP because it's the only token backed by physical silver, I believe the current total is 35 Troy ounces.

HSBI

I've already surpassed my goal of 2K HSBI units this year and haven't set a new one. On this one whatever happens happens. It's a great project in my eyes and it will help you along your Hive journey. Right now here's where I stand:

I'm up 42 from last week, not too shabby! In my opinion one can never have too many HSBI!

SIM

I haven't done much with SIM this week, but I continue to hold about 1.1 million. I have spent some of the SIM in the dcity game for some assets to stay competitive. I do like SIM because it pays you daily liquid Hive depending on how much you hold. I think that starts at 8K, don't quote me on that and I would look up the exact number if you are buying in. It is pretty inexpensive, so buying in isn't to painful.

Another thing to consider here is that SIM is inflationary, so that may bring down the price over time. However, measures are being taken in the game to reduce this issue... But in crypto we all know there are never any absolutes...

PWR

I'm continuing to delegate HP to empo.voter to receive daily PWR tokens. I was placing them into liquidity pools but with other investments the last few weeks I haven't. When I have some more spare swap.hive I'll have to continue to do it once more. PWR will eventually pay out liquid HP to token holders which is what I like about it so much!

Other Tokens

No changes here, just continuing to collect EDS, DBOND, and DAB. I'm not actively buying more of these or miners. I like all three projects so I will continue to let them pile up in my wallet!

Silver

It has not been a great week for us silver lovers. It's down to just about $29 from more than $31 last week. The markets have had much to do with it, but I'm confident it will recover soon. In my opinion it's always wise to hold precious metals because they will always have value, even when fiat fails us.

Right now silver eagle coins are selling at $5.49 above spot price of silver on Apmex.com. Really a pretty good price although I prefer to pay nothing over the price of silver, but American Eagles always carry a premium due to demand. They also are worth more when the time comes to sell, just something to keep in mind.
