Weekly Ten HSBI Giveaway, Week Seven and HPUD!

generated with ideogram.ai

This has been a bit of a rough week! Normally I would have posted this on Sunday as it my normal routine. I have been feeling a little under the weather so I am late this time around, but never late than never! It has thrown off my posts as I have several to things to post, but I guess that's much better than the opposite problem.

As usual I generated a new weekly banner with AI. Sometimes they come out winners and others aren't so hot. While this week I wasn't happy with most of the results, this was was the best of the bunch. it seemed like the more direction I gave it the worse the results turned out. But this one isn't too bad for the weekly giveaway. what do you think?

I wanted to say thank you to all of the participants last week, we shall see what plays out on the BTC front in the coming weeks!

Since this is also Hive Power Up Day I went ahead and powered up the minimum of ten. I'm going to be piling up more liquid Hive this month to have more available to profit is we see a dramatic rise over this next month. I sincerely hope we all will be seeing some nice returns this month!

Moving on to the giveaway. I used to do a daily re-blog lottery. I really got tired of the daily extra work so I decided to give it up and focus on quality content only during the week. I am focusing on engagement in this contest, that's why the following statement is in bold.
This contest is not a re-blog lottery, so please read the entry instructions so you can have a valid entry and with some luck be a lucky winner!

The Giveaway

I will be giving out two prizes of five (5) HSBI chosen at random from all of the valid entrants. There will also be one gold foil Splinterlands card as a third prize. If you don't play Splinterlands just let me know and I'll send you an HSBI instead. To participate you need a reputation level of at least 25 and bots of course cannot win. And please one entry per person to make it fair to everyone.

How to Enter

Every week this will change. I'm looking for engagement rather than just saying "I am in". There is no need to upvote or re-blog, although if you choose to I would appreciate it. This week's question is an easy one: I have been on a coffee kick this week, so what is your favorite and coffee and why ? If you have any favorite brands let me know, I'm always looking for good coffee!

HSBI

If you are unfamiliar with the prize you can learn more here:

@steembasicincome/hive-sbi

And the third prize will be for the card shown below or one HSBI unit, your preference. And since I am spinning the same wheel three times in a row it is theoretically possible for the same person to win all three prizes! Although I have yet to see it happen, maybe this week?

Me too! This week has definitely been fueled by caffeine. As for my favorite coffee, it depends a bit on the mood. For a morning pick-me-up, I love a strong Ethiopian Yirgacheffe. It has this bright, citrusy flavor that wakes up my taste buds and my brain.

Lately, though, I've been craving something a little smoother in the afternoons. A nice Colombian Supremo hits the spot perfectly – rich and chocolatey without being bitter.

Both great picks, Ethiopian coffee is always good as well as Colombian. I also love some good dark roast from Honduras but it's been hard to find lately!

That sounds good! Almost "Simply Irresistible" to quote a Robert Palmer song. If I recall I think The Scorpions played the music and he just sang!

I don't drink coffee so I don't have a favorite. It's not that I don't like the taste and I actually love the smell. However, because I don't have the best sleep, I avoid drinking coffee. I do drink it rarely after a night where I slept very poorly.

Sounds like maybe your a decaf guy then? I have to be careful about timing too because it can affect my sleep as well. Very good reasoning!

thank you for the win.
I don't have a favorite coffee brand. Just 80/20 Arabica/Robusta blend is good for me.

You like a nice blend. The plus to that is the Robusta gives you that extra caffeine that Arabica lacks. Great idea!

Exactly. I like the chocolatey taste of Arabica but lacks the caffeine of Robusta. 80/20 or 70/30 is a good blend for me.

I love this idea!

My favorite is a simple white chocolate mocha from a local place called Treasure Valley Coffee. It is perfectly balanced. It's creamy, sweet, but not to the point of being overly sweet, and the beans are roasted perfectly, so there's no bitterness or odd aftertaste.

It's a simple drink that many places don't get quite right, in my opinion.

I agree on that particular mocha, it's hard to get right. It's been years since I drank one though. Ever since my Army days I just drink dark roast with no cream or sugar. But it has to be a good dark roast that has actual subtle flavor notes that make it taste really good and not like burnt coffee!

Hi, @thebighigg sorry to hear that your health is affected. I pray that you regain your balance soon and feel better. Congratulations to the winners of the giveaway.
As for the question, talking about coffee is swimming in my waters. Coffee consumption in my country is quite frequent and is part of our customs. I can't imagine leaving home without having had at least "one" exquisite cup of coffee. I have consumed it in various forms, but there is one in particular that is special and has been in my family for generations, we call it "spiced guayoyo coffee", it is a black coffee of low concentration seasoned with spices. It consists of boiling ground coffee in water and adding cloves. After boiling the preparation is passed several times through a cloth strainer. I prefer to drink it without sugar and enjoy its mild flavor and aroma, it is a family heirloom.
As for brands, there are several, some with export quality, I am always experimenting and discovering. The autochthonous coffee, of artisan production, we call it "criollo", there are regions of the country with a very satisfactory coffee production. I am not a coffee taster, I am a coffee lover, these are only opinions, I am attaching my image of four very acceptable national brands !LUV !PIZZA

Thank you very much @thebighigg for your comment, I thought I had mentioned it, how clumsy of me. Talking about coffee, customs, specificities and not referring in the socialization to the country, is to be in the air. I am from Venezuela and my mother tongue is Spanish. In our country, coffee is one of the most consumed beverages, I would say that it is part of our identity, but at the same time, it is multidimensional in its different cultural expressions, an exquisite world of knowledges !LUV

To be honest, I don't drink coffee but I love the smell of it. I usually drink tea, and my favorite is matcha

Man, Right now I drink any type of coffee it just needs to be a medium roast hahaha. I had a friend who showed me how it is a real coffee looks alike, with a very smooth taste. It is wonderful, but I just need coffee to survive nowadays :)

Good coffee is expensive coffee, that's the problem. There are some Arabica beans that sell for more than $100 US per pound. Are they really good, yes, would I pay that price for them, hell no!

Sorry that your health isn't that great, that sucks! Hopefully improvement is on the way..

About coffee, I only wanted to drink L'or Sontuoso cups since we had our coffee machine here in Spain. It had to be perfect with 2 teaspoons of sugar and coffee creamer from the brand Completa. Without it, it's not perfect and I will not drink it.

As the costs were getting way too much and I had the feeling I should cut down on the coffee creamer as well as sugar, I changed it up to a supermarket brand (the strong extra forte, which is an important detail, lol) with only honey and cinnamon as well as normal milk and then let it cool to have iced coffee.

It was perfect for a few weeks, until there was no whole milk available and I changed it to whole milk, lactose free as that's available everywhere now (that fact alone makes me wonder, is this really better or worse!?) and now I don't fancy the recipe I created anymore and will be stuck with this version for another week until the milk runs out, lol.

But I'm sure I'll figure it out again.. I learned that the biggest coffee drinker is my boyfriend, as I only drink 3 cups a day now but obviously I have to buy milk instead of the creamer but the creamer is more expensive as it's imported.

Anything imported is always expensive. Lactose free milk isn't any better unless you're lactose intolerant which most people aren't. Too bad it's gotten so expensive though! Whole mild just tastes better, has more calories but the taste is so much better!

Hello @thebighigg good question to share experiences and tastes. In particular, I am not very assiduous to coffee, however, I like a mocachino or cappuccino from time to time.
