Tapas & Free Mosquito Bites

Tapas for dinner

This tapa round was done on an evening when I felt so exhausted and fell asleep around 5 PM when watching something on my phone. I had great company because first Maesi came to cuddle me until she fell asleep and then Luna took her place while Maesi went inside to eat something. I didn't notice she came back until my daughter walked into the room catching me sleeping (lol) and said "Ohhhh, they are both sleeping with you!"

I usually refrain from taking naps during the day because it makes me feel exhausted afterward. But when the heat is present, sometimes I have to give in and so I did that day. We had plans to pick up two packages but afterward, I was drained so we only went for tapas.

Daughter's choice

Our daughter was asked which tapas she wanted and told dad that she wanted the "carne con tomate" so we knew where to go. This is a very small family business where they serve just a few tapas every day but what they serve is of good quality.

Upon arrival, we noticed that they had a hamburger on the menu and my daughter felt bold (lol) so she wanted to try that one, Dad ordered the "carne con tomate" and I ordered the Russian salad served with olives.

We were planning on sitting inside because the last time they had the air conditioner on, this time it was hot inside and cool outside. The reason we often choose for sitting inside is the horrible invasion of mosquitos. I told the waiter that and he said there's too much wind for them. It made sense because it's quite an open spot and near the sea. We choose to sit outside.

When they served the tapas, we were pleasantly surprised by what we received. Everything looked delicious.

Sadly, our daughter was backing out of the boldness and didn't want to have the burger, so I offered to swap the tapas around and take her burger instead. I gave my Russian salad to my boyfriend and she received her carne con tomate as initially planned.

I have to say, the burger only contained freshly made ingredients and was really good. The Russian salad below was really nice too as well as the olives. I'm always happy when they serve the olives that I love.

In the second round, we ordered exactly the same but this time I ate the salad and my boyfriend tried the burger.

Under attack

And then we were under attack. My daughter had a mosquito on her face, so far for them not being around. Not long after there was one on my boyfriend's face, resulting in a huge bite all swollen later. I also felt them bite me but to my surprise, for once, I didn't have one mark. I think these daily antihistamine tablets the doctor prescribed are helping with the allergic reaction after all. I didn't think they did much at first but now we had a few tapa moments with many mosquitos attacking and I came home with 0 spots while normally, I have immediate swelling and often look like someone hit me (bruises).

Another bite later and my boyfriend was done, we went back home.
