Turtle dove in the park

This little one is a dove, I was just on my way to my grandmother's house and I stopped at a park that is in the pass, there I took my canary for a walk 😅.

It is a small and very nice park, although larger than what can be seen in the photo, my canary likes it and I take a break before arriving at my grandmother's house. (I already recovered the bicycle, but I am doing this walking tour 😀)

It turns out that the benches available due to the time of year were exposed to the sun, so I decided to sit on top of a large rock that overlooked the lower part of the park.

And it was a good choice, since this turtle dove appeared looking for branches for its nest that was surely in the process of construction in a tree in the park.

She was very focused on her task, I almost had to get up from the place because I had the impression that she wanted something from there or to pass by where I was.

In the past I had this species of pigeons, in my case one was white and the other this color and the chicks were all this grayish color, there was never any white one, I don't know why 🤔

15 years ago these birds did not exist in my region and if they did it was in a very low percentage, then they began to colonize the city and even the countryside, this is my observation, since I have always observed birds a lot.

Now wherever I go, not only in my municipality, but in absolutely all the towns I visit there is a high percentage of these birds, something that I did not notice in the past and that catches my attention.

I also know that they have made releases of these birds that they bred in captivity, it seems for the purpose of pest control, I suppose.

Normally, turtle doves walk in pairs and more so at this time of year, but for some strange reason she was alone collecting branches for her nest, perhaps the other one was also concentrated on a branch that was difficult to carry somewhere in that park, although I observed I went to the park to see if I could find the other one, I couldn't see her.
