I Am #AliveAndThriving Today! || #IAmAliveChallenge || Daily Off-Grid Jungle Journal Entry: Day #544 - The Challenges of Off-Grid Freedom Over Convenient Slavery - GaiaYoga Gardens, Lower Puna, Far East Big Island, Hawai'i - Tuesday, January 23, 2024

I live barefooted and naked, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i. I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙

Living out here off grid in the jungle as I do is, as I've said many times, equal parts amazing and challenging, and for a whole bunch of reasons on both sides. Regardless of what the sometimes quite large challenges might be, however, I would still choose to live here in often uncomfortable freedom over submitting to the convenient comfort of the satanic slave system, that in its death throes, is far too deep in upside-down clown world for me to tolerate. I will always, always, always, choose freedom, self-empowerment, self-determination, and sovereignty over convenient, comfortable slavery. Period.

Today is a case in point for how the challenges of living where and how I do can sometimes be quite ridiculous. We are on a solar electrical system out here, and when there is sun, we're usually fine. When we have a string of cloudy days, however, as often happens in winter, we have to run the gas-powered generator fairly often as well. Last night going into today is one those days where a few things did not go as hoped.

From morning to afternoon yesterday it was very cloudy, so the batteries couldn't recharge from the night before, so we turned on the generator. The problem is that the generator had a problem, and was only partially functional, so it was not very helpful in getting the batteries charged. Thankfully sun came out in the afternoon to at least get the batteries part of the way charged. It wasn't sufficient, however, to charge them enough to get through the night. So without a functional generator, the power went out this morning a few hours before dawn, and on top of that it's cloudy this morning, so the electrical system probably won't come back online until later in the afternoon, which is very problematic because I have things to do, like for example writing and publishing this Hive post.

The generator is going to be brought to someone today so that they can assess the problem, and hopefully fix it. It's frustrating that technologies like this are not easy at all to service for one's self. In any case, with the power out until who knows when, I am in a bit of a race against time to finish this post before my phone's battery runs out. Since I've published 1-3 posts every day since February 1, 2022, I'm committed to continuing that posting streak.

So here I am still in bed, writing this post much earlier than usual, so that I can get it done and published before my phone dies. It's definitely not an ideal situation by any means, but if there's one thing that I've learned living off grid in the jungle for more than 5 years, is that it's necessary to be adaptable, flexible, and often very improvisational, if I intend to do what it is that I want, especially consistently. As you might have noticed, though, I'm super consistent on Hive. That's because what I do on Hive is important to me, so no matter what the challenges are, I will find a way, and so far I always have. May that continue!

Yesterday, Tuesday, I left the Flow House a fair bit later than usual or intended, just after 3:30PM, after finishing up my essential Hive tasks. Very thankfully it was sunny for a while in the afternoon, so the solar batteries could charge, and so that I could take photos for this post, which is what I did first, before focusing on work. Once I finished taking photos, I went to see if I could figure out what was wrong with the generator. Ano came to assist in that task as well. Sadly nothing that we could easily do had any useful effect. Ano called someone he knows that works on generators, to see about getting it services, and I went to collect cow-milking food. Once I had collected a wheelbarrow full of assorted edible tree leaves for cow food, I went to Ano's nursery to do more paid work, continuing my thorough weeding job.

After work I took a shower, grabbed my leftover superfood fire coffee and kefir-honey-cinnamon-cacao blend from the Landing fridge (I didn't drink my kefir from the day before, so I didn't have to strain out a new batch), then I headed back to the Flow House for my evening round of Hive tasks and catching up on my notifications. Since I knew that the power would go out at some point, I focused on getting everything done as quickly as I could. It still took me until just before 11:45PM to complete all that I needed to do. After a quick round of token management, I went to bed, just after 12:15AM. I did thankfully sleep well, waking up a bit before dawn, and seeing that the power did finally go out, I stared on my Hive tasks immediately. I did a round of token management, then I began writing this post.

It's just before 7:45AM, so a good and early time to end this post, so that I can get to my most essential Hive tasks before my phone's battery dies. It's after dawn now, and I see sun, so that is hopeful. I'll get what I can done, then go take photos for tomorrow's incarnation of this post, if all goes well, then of course land work later. 2024 Life Goals

1.) Heal my broken heart. 

2.) Bring myself and my life back into balance, integration, and wholeness, and do regular integral practices. 

3.) Make my plant nursery beautiful again. 

4.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again. 

5.) Continue my work with Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, Bastyon, and other sovereignty-driven technologies, as well as learn relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute. 

6.) Get regular healing sessions with women flowing again.
