I Am #AliveAndThriving Today! || #IAmAliveChallenge || Daily Off-Grid Jungle Journal Entry: Day #545 - Generator Challenge Surmounted, and DeSo Unfolding Well! - GaiaYoga Gardens, Lower Puna, Far East Big Island, Hawai'i - Wednesday, January 24, 2024
I live barefooted and naked, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i. I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙
Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
In my post yesterday I talked about how our gas-powered generator, which is the backup to our solar-powered electrical system, had an issue which prevented it from functioning correctly. I had said that there were plans to take it to be assessed and hopefully fixed the next day, which would have been today. Unfortunately (or fortunately perhaps) the individual who was going to look at it said that they couldn't do so until sometime next week. This, of course, would not work at all, so Ano, Sperry, and I decided to do our best to fix it ourselves.
After Ano talked with the fellow who was going to look at it, it was determined that the most likely cause of the problem was a dirty or clogged carburator. Ano gave Sperry the model of the generator, and Sperry looked up videos on how to clean the carburator, which he and I both watched. Ano helped out with disassembling and reassembling the generator, and Sperry and I did the carburator-cleaning job. We had everything cleaned and almost put back together when, during a test run, we noticed that fuel was leaking, which made it so that we had to take everything apart one more time, and this time I made sure to clean the o-ring seal, and set it in well. After it was mostly reassembled again, we did another test run, and this time everything worked as it should, super thankfully.
All three of us felt a great deal of accomplishment and satisfaction about our success in fixing the generator ourselves. It was not particularly fun, but the result was marvelous. As I mention in these posts all the time, learning to become more self-reliant, self-sufficient, self-dependent, and self-responsible, and in everything, is exceedingly important and necessary. We simply cannot depend on any one individual, organization, corporation, or a government, to do things for us, as in the long run doing so never goes well, at all.
In my post three days ago, I mentioned that I had finally successfully gotten my account set up on DeSo, another open-source, decentralized, community-based, web3 social blockchain ecosystem, that has quite a lot in common with Hive. In the three days since I started there, I've been quite active, which has gotten me noticed by a fair number of people. I've been exploring more behind the scenes, and under the surface, and so far I'm loving what I'm finding. DeSo does seem quite amazing, and I'm grateful to have decided to give it another try. Being active in four different yet similar sovereignty-driven blockchain ecosystems definitely makes me feel like a bridge, or an ambassador, between what I call these Allied Blockchain Nations. I also love seeing people that I know having a presence, and being active, on multiple blockchains simultaneously, just like me. So far I know Hivers/Hivians that are active on DeSo, Qortal, and Bastyon, which is marvelous. I want to build, create, and grow a cross-blockchain community, and to foster and nurture ever-greater cross-and-inter-blockchain friendship, camaraderie, interconnection, interoperability, collaboration, and cooperation. That is incredibly exciting to me.
Yesterday, Wednesday, was a very atypical day in terms of my usual schedule, because of the time that I had to devote to fixing the generator. I was able to get most of my essential Hive tasks done before I started working on it, but a few things had to wait until the evening. I wasn't even able to take photos for this post until almost sunset, after work was done, and the sun came out to play again for a little bit. Aside from helping to fix the generator, I also helped Ano carry several sections of metal roofing from the Peanut Lawn to Quarta Quarters, collected a wheelbarrow full of cow-milking food, stained out kefir for my kefir-honey-cinnamon-cacao blend, and and took photos for this post.
Since I had to leave a few Hive tasks until the evening, I made sure to finish up work and return to the Flow House early, so that I could get to it, and actually get everything done by a good time. Thankfully I was successful, and was able to get everything completed just after 8:45PM, which was wonderfully early. I spent the rest of my evening exploring, and engaging, on DeSo, Qortal, Bastyon, and even a little on X, along with some token management on Hive. I went to bed around 11PM, and sadly I wasn't able to sleep well, finally starting on a round of token management on Hive around 6:30AM, before getting out of bed around 8:30AM to go make my superfood fire coffee. I attended the community NVC meeting from 9:30AM to around 11:30AM, then I headed back to the Flow House to write this post.
It's almost 1PM now, so a very good time to end this post, so that I can get to my afternoon round of essential Hive tasks, before leaving to Flow House in the later afternoon, to first finish taking photos for tomorrow's iteration of this post, and then land work. I deeply appreciate you all so very much! Until tomorrow! Forward, onward, and upward, joyfully together! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

I do not know of anything that you can not find a video on how to fix it. The first time my husband changed the oil in my diesel truck it would not start afterwards. I googled it and there was a video on what to do. The truck started after doing what they said.

Indeed, I've found that to be true as well! It's one of the great marvels of the internet that people can basically learn how to do anything they set their minds to do! That's fantastic about your truck, very cool! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
