I Am #AliveAndThriving Today! || #IAmAliveChallenge || Daily Off-Grid Jungle Journal Entry: Day #757 - Hive Needs More Developers, So I'm Becoming One! - GaiaYoga Gardens, Lower Puna, Far East Big Island, Hawai'i - Friday, August 23, 2024
I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 5 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙
Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
Diving into the behind-the-scenes, under-the-surface development of Hive, and other open-source, community-based, sovereignty-driven frameworks and applications, has been one of my desires and intentions, and has been on my to-do list (it's also in my 2024 Life Goals that are at the bottom of every one of these posts), for quite some time now. While it's something that I've wanted to do, up to this point I haven't had the clarity and focus to know exactly where to begin. With the developmental work that I've gotten into with @borniet recently on tipping bots, he's been doing the coding side of things, and while this is great, and he's amazing at what he does, the need and desire to be able to contribute in a deeper and fuller way to our projects has been growing stronger by the day. With that in mind, I'm in the process of preparing myself to begin my coding/programming educational journey.
My intention is to begin learning both Java and Python simultaneously, as to me that would be a solid, well-rounded approach. Java is a very consistent, logical, and strict language, so it's excellent for setting good coding habits, which will help out a lot when I move into various other languages. Python is a very diffent animal, being what could be considered perhaps a higher-level (as opposed to lower-level languages like C) that is not at all difficult to learn. That's also the language that @borniet is using for the bot code, so it's very relevant to our projects.
I'm not totally unfamiliar with coding, as I was learning Java for a short time severeral years ago, and I also deal with BASH commands and scripts, and compiling applications and kernels often in (Arch) Linux, but I've never gone deep before, to learn any language well. It's time to change that. If I want to help Hive to reach its full potential, and to be unstoppable in the face of tyranny, then I've got to get involved, get to work, and get my hands dirty.
I've still got to set up a functional and efficient development environment on my three separate Arch Linux installations, which makes things a little more complicated. CodeBlocks, a fairly good IDE (Integrated Development Environment) for beginners, is the one I used during my short excursion into learning Java. I tried starting it up in one of my Arch installs, but it had errors that I still have not resolved, so I installed Eclipse as well, though I must say that it certainly appears to be quite bit more complex, so it'll take me a little more time to set up and learn. Although I do already have Beem and Hiveengine installed on all three of my Arch installs, I don't think that I set them up properly, so that's also something that I need to get done. Time to do these important tasks is still a bugger, but I'll simply start and do my best to keep going until everything is as it needs to be to begin this next phase of my learning and contributions. I'm generally rather good at (human) languages and working with patterns, so I have a strong feeling that I'll be able to learn, and to become proficient, in multiple programming languages without too much difficulty. That's my hope at least. I don't want to be someone that only uses what others have created on Hive (as much as I appreciate what already exists), as to me that's too surface-level. I want to go deeper, to be able to help build, and to have a hand in making Hive even more exceptional and incredible than it already is, for all of of us!
Yesterday, Friday, I left the Flow House, after completing my Hive tasks, a little after 1:30PM, straining and blending kefir (kefir-honey-cinnamon-cacao) as my first task. While there was some sun yesterday, most of the day was cloudy and rainy, so I was only able to get a few photos for these posts, here and there. The main land work that I did was to help Zai to clear various Melochia trees (they grow super fast) behind the Octagon (where he stays). I collected the leaves for cow-milking food, while Zai collected the larger trunks for future construction, and the smaller trunks and branches for firewood. When I had that done, I dropped the wheelbarrow full of cow food off at Tutu's, then I headed back to the Landing side of the property to take a shower. Since the weather was very uninspiring for continued work outside, I grabbed my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee from the Landing fridge, then I headed back to the Flow House, to get to my Hive tasks, and catching up on my numerous notifications. Since I did not sleep well the night before, I was feeling rather tired, so I decided to take a short nap. I woke up around 7:30PM, a bit later than I had intended, and started immediately on Hive. I was able to get totally caught up on my notifications by 11PM, and after a bit more engagement and posting on Waves and Ecency proper, I finally went to bed just after 1AM, definitely later than I had wanted. I woke up around 7:30AM, still feeling like I needed more sleep, doing a round of token management, beginning on this post, then getting out of bed around 8AM, to go make my superfood fire coffee.
It's now just before 1:30PM, so it's a great time to wrap up this post, so that I can get to a few important Hive tasks, before leaving the Flow House later in the afternoon, to first strain and blend kefir, and then land work. It's been very cloudy and rainy all day so far, but I do have at least two things to get done outside, so I'll see how it goes. I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! Until tomorrow's edition of this post! Always forward, onward, upward, and whaleward, ho, together we go! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
2024 Life Goals
1.) Heal my broken heart, reignite my heart sun, and embody a solid, healthy masculine, allowing my electric fire to shine bright, no matter what others, especially women, say or do.
2.) Bring myself and my life back into balance, integration, and wholeness.
3.) Do regular (naked) integral practices again, alone or with others.
4.) Dance regularly again.
5.) Work with natural entheogens (mushrooms, ganja, ayahuasca), with punctuated regularity, as a part of my healing process again.
6.) Get, and keep, regular deep, integral energy-body-tantric work healing sessions for women flowing again.
7.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
8.) Make my plant nursery beautiful again.
9.) Live as an integral part of a juicy heart-resonant soul tribe community, with deep, coherent mutual and shared passion, purpose, mission, love, warmth, care, sweetness, reverence, respect, aliveness, admiration, excitement, enjoyment, playfulness, work, fun, laughter, attraction, and all-level connections and relationships.
10.) Make love with the woman, or the women, that I love, every day, as a sacred devotional practice.
11.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.

Thank you all so much who have helped me get to where I am today, and allowing me to share more of the beauty and magic from my life and my world with you, and for your continuous appreciation and support! I am truly deeply grateful! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
