My Entry for Reflection Hunters Contest: Round 174 - Dwarf Bromeliad Reflections - GaiaYoga Gardens, Lower Puna, Big Island, Hawai'i - Sunday, June 30, 2024
Warm greetings reflection hunters! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
This is my first entry in the Reflection Hunters Contest in about two years, but even though I've been a very buzzy Hive bee, I couldn't stay away any longer!
As I've mentioned in my previous entries, I live in the middle of the jungle, so reflective surfaces are few and far between, and it takes quite a bit of creativity to find those that will work. I had success this morning, though! These photos are of the small pool of water found in the center of a variety of dwarf red Neoregelia bromeliad growing on the lava next to the Flow House, where I live.
Usually I do my best to keep myself or my phone out of my photos, but in this case, it made the photos! As you can see, my phone with which I took the photos, and my hand, which I moved into different positions, are easily visible in the pool of water. These plants are quite small, smaller than my hand, so all but the last photo were taken under rather high magnification. The last shot is to give you and idea of what these lovely bromeliads look like. I hope that you enjoy them as much as I did taking them! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
