My Entry for Reflection Hunters Contest: Round 181 - Timber Bamboo Reflections - GaiaYoga Gardens, Lower Puna, Big Island, Hawai'i - Thursday, August 22, 2024

Warm greetings fellow reflection Hunters! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

I almost forgot to submit my entry for the contest this week, but very thankfully I remembered today, so here it is! For Reflection Hunters Contest: Round 181, I'd like to share with y'all a batch of photos that I took 4 days ago, in the late-afternoon sun, and with the help of my ever-trusty portable mirror, of the quite striking and elegant reflections of two different large timber bamboos, Bambusa oldhamii 'Hirose' and Dendrocalamus asper 'Hitam', that grow here on the property. Both are utilized often for construction here, with quite good wood.

My portable mirror is a lifesaver, because, as I've mentioned before, there are very few natural reflective surfaces here in the jungle in this part of Hawai'i. As with any reflection photo shoot, I do my best to get shots from different angles and lighting. I love that these photos make it look like there's a portal in the ground to a verdant bamboo world. I hope that you enjoy them as much as I did when I took them! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
