My Entry for Shadow Hunters Community Contest/Show Me a Shadow: Round 333 - Morning Cecropia Shadows - GaiaYoga Gardens, Lower Puna, Big Island, Hawai'i - Saturday, August 3, 2024

Warm greetings fellow shadow hunters! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

I'm glad that I had one more batch of new shadow photos on my phone, because it's been cloudy and rainy most of the day, so not ideal for shadow photography. As I looked over these photos, I realized how much I liked them, as in them I captured some simply stunning morning shadows that would be a great entry for the contest.

These photos show the leaves of a young Cecropia obtusifolia, growing next to the Flow House, bathed in early morning sunlight. The most amazing aspect about these photos is the fact that, due to the prominent and raised veins on the leaves, that not only do we have some gorgeous shadows in these photos, but also micro-shadows next to each vein! The effect is striking, as you can see. I hope y'all enjoy them now as much as I did when I first took them about two weeks ago! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
