We Are Alive! November 11th, 2024 Trip to the Thrift Store

My little daughter has been gathering up her dollars and decided she wanted to get items for herself and her brothers and sisters.

We got some interesting items, like a chemistry set for our biggest boy (whose birthday is coming up) and a nerf bow and arrow (for my girl interested in archery) and some stuffed kitties for herself.

My boy likes his "red race car" and was very surprised that it TRANSFORMES into a dinosaur!

We put batteries in it and it ROARED and played music and flashed lights. He was delighted.

It's amazing what interesting things one can find at a thrift store for cheap!

Teach Your Children Liberty from Sin

We encourage parents to teach their children principles of Godliness, beginning with the Word and an understanding who God is and what His Son has done to form a relationship with us.

No one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each man’s work. 1 Corinthians 3:11-13

Teach Your children Liberty from Tyranny

Second to this is the principle of self-determination and freedom, lest we loose the ability to teach our children the first principle in future generations.

Our children read the Tuttle Twin books, specifically to learn libertarian principles, which most people learn later in life. These books are useful for our family, and yours, to teach children concepts that seem complicated, but are made simple in these books.

I am an affiliate for Libertas Publishing, your purchase will help our family grow financially.

How nice that your daughter has those beautiful feelings of sharing her dollars to buy gifts for her and her siblings, definitely that is as we say in Venezuela, that is part of the upbringing she has.

I can say that I also feel proud that my daughters also do things similar to what your daughter did by sharing her money with her siblings.

I miss real thrift stores. We have what are called ropa americana shops which are just thrift clothing stores. There are 2 actual thrift stores with stuff in them that I know of, but they don't get fresh merchandise very often. Ah man, I love thrifting!

We are blessed to have an excellent thrift store very close to our home, but we don't go there very often. I see things there that we've purchased in the past from Amazon, but at a fraction of the cost. Something to remember. !BBH

I remember, when Amazon was only an online bookstore.

Nowadays we can buy all kinds of things on it.

Similarly to eBay.

Both like a flea market, but especially the eBay, and both worth to check from time to time.

That was my daughter Sofia, she had a light inside her that she shared with other children in the hospital. It is wonderful to see the little girl and her beautiful eyes carrying that light. Blessings to all of you.

Children love their toys very much because they have been playing with them daily for a long time.

It's wonderful to see her wanting to get items for her siblings as well.
The chemistry set and nerf bow and arrow sound like great choices, and the stuffed kitties are adorable.
The transforming race car must have been so exciting for your son.
It's great to hear that he was delighted.
