We Are Alive! November 18th, 2024 Special Outing

We're back to trapping squirrels again and we've been relocating them to the local park. I brought two of my little ones with me to keep them company, giving mom a break for a bit. On the way back, my girl said "I'm huuungry."

She wanted fast-food, but I said no. Instead, we visited a grocery store and I got them small bags of chips. They were delighted!

They also have slightly blemished fruit, a bag of five apples for $1.00 and a bag of (ripe) avocados for a $1.00. The apples are fine for a while, but the avocados are a bit brown and need to become guacamole pretty much today. We sampled some and they are still very good!

My blog seems to be talking a lot about food lately... my daddy senses feels winter coming and we want to make sure we're prepared!

Teach Your Children Liberty from Sin

We encourage parents to teach their children principles of Godliness, beginning with the Word and an understanding who God is and what His Son has done to form a relationship with us.

No one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each man’s work. 1 Corinthians 3:11-13

Teach Your children Liberty from Tyranny

Second to this is the principle of self-determination and freedom, lest we loose the ability to teach our children the first principle in future generations.

Our children read the Tuttle Twin books, specifically to learn libertarian principles, which most people learn later in life. These books are useful for our family, and yours, to teach children concepts that seem complicated, but are made simple in these books.

I am an affiliate for Libertas Publishing, your purchase will help our family grow financially.

I can relate to your last paragraph, I'm a dad too, worried about feeding them, but we don't have winters here.

Your children are always smiling and that says they are happy, and definitely a happy child is a healthy child.

By the way, on another note, I really liked Trump's stiker, in my country we have hope in him.

I am grateful for healthy well fed children. We really do eat very well, lots of fruits, veggies and meat and dairy. And not too many snack foods (little chip bags aside, lol).

I really liked Trump's stiker

I love the positive response to the political messaging. It was unintentional. !LOLZ !BBH

That’s awesome, we live on a mostly democratic street in Washington.
I could have some fun with these stickers Lol!😇

Bags of chips sound like a good reward! What a deal for the avocados and apples! Avocados freeze well if your plan it to turn them into guacamole or add them to taco salad in the future. I really want some guacamole now! Ha!

We opened several and found them going ripe, so it'll be sort of green/brown guac. But if done right, it'll taste great anyway! !BBH

You've got nice activities for kids instead of staying at home watching TV. Must be a lot of work with 7 kids 😀

My blog seems to be talking a lot about food lately

That's true! It's kind of "food talk".

How do you catch squirrels?

How do you catch squirrels?

We have a live trap, it's a small cage. We put peanut butter in it and it closes the cage, then we can transport it and release it elseware with no harm to the animal. !BBH
