Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Djinn Inferni Is A Giant Killer!

Time flies! Just completed the 197th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

  • Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

  • Moving Back To Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I made the decision to move back to a Bronze level fray, which is where my cards are at. It proved to a good decision but I was back to winning form!

Had 8 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

  • We Got 9th!!!

So for the final result, we were 9th out of 10 guilds and got 431 Merits and around 8 SPS! Ouch!

Individually, I had 8 fights this time and I won all 8 of them this time! Finished 1st within the guild. Woohoo! Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there were 1 additional win for me.

Battle 1 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

Poison battle calls from cards with Immunity. Both teams fielded Forgotten One but I had another extra Redwyrm Dragon and that proved enough to make a difference to secure this win.

Battle 2 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Marisol Contuman and Helmet Kharafax

My opponent obviously fielded a weakened lineup despite having decent cards on the board. I had more than enough in my lineup to fend off this team.

Gladius Card Used: Isgald Vorst

Lol what is up with my opponent! Giving out free wins one after another. Will take it then!

Battle 4 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Liza Fox

Wow this was such a nice battle to watch. A battle of Ranged cards, and even though the teams looked rather closely watched, it was a perfect 6-0 win. My team of Ranged attackers dispatched the opposing cards with Opportunity and Sneak hits and these targeted hits made the difference.

Opponent fled! Free win!

Battle 6 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Gorth

Gorth had it easy in this battle as not many cards or teams can beat him 1 on 1 in low mana battles. The Bloodlust effect grows after a few rounds and there was no way my opponent could turn this around. Masterclass performance by Gorth.

Battle 7 - WIN

Wow I almost this one! Despite putting a lot of thought into my lineup, strategically placing the Martyr cards, we were so close to losing until Djinn Inferni stepped out with its Giant Killer. It looked like nobody was able to take down the Bloodlust boosted Chimney Wallstop, but Djinn Inferni came in with a big hit and we were okay! First time seeing Giant Killer in action considering my fights are mostly in the lower leagues, and it was so fun! Impressive Djinn Inferni!

Battle 8 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Marisol Contuma and Captain Katie

This was a Captain Katie show! Her Snipe ability shone in this battle as it successfully took down enough hits to get the required Bloodlust, and from then on, we were too strong for our opponent.
