Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Santa Gave Me Free Wins!

Time flies! Just completed the 177th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

  • Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

  • Moving Back To Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I made the decision to move back to a Bronze level fray, which is where my cards are at. It proved to a good decision but I was back to winning form!

Had 5 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

  • We Got 5th!

So for the final result, we were 4th out of 10 guilds and got 538 Merits and around 17 SPS! A whole bag of SPS! A decent finish this round!

Individually, I had 5 fights this time and I won 4 of them this time! Finished 5th within the guild. Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there were 4 additional wins for me.

Battle 1 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Palidon Rakk and Katrelba Gobson

51 mana and my opponent fielded just one card? Something might have gone wrong with the system or the connection. Almost like a free win but am happy to take it!

MVP: None (almost like a free win)

Battle 2 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Flagulon Reine

This was a tough battle and I made the decision to go with a Water and Djinn Oshannus tank instead of my opponent's choice, reason being this was a Poison battle and the Water deck had River Nymph that could perform Cleanse. With Djinn Oshannus cleansed, it held up very well and even overcame a Iziar/Sola Ranjell pairing. Extremely satisfied with my choice of lineup in this.

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Relenor Cleaver

Wow what an incredible fight! When I saw the opposing lineup with Runemancer Kye, I wasn't optimistic about my chances. But miraculously my damage output was great and the team huffed and puffed and took down the opposing cards one by one. In the end, we had more than enough actually. Shoutout to Kulu Mastermind whose 4 speed ensured that it had the accuracy to land those hits.

Battle 4 - WIN

Opponent fled! Yet another free win!

Battle 5 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Katrelba Gobson

All good things have to come to an end somehow. In this battle, both teams came out with similar strategies for this low mana fight and my opponent's Katrelba Gobson went first. That move decided the outcome of the battle. Oh well.
