My Week in Review for Aug. 24, 2024

I started to participate with the Saturday Saver's community some months back now. It has helped me focus more on my goals and making better plans to arrive at those desired levels. As a result I have been working harder the last few months to reach my set goals. It's a great way to keep yourself focused, at least it has been for me!

This past week I've missed a couple of posts, but with any luck this next week will be less hectic. Real life can easily get in the way of your online Hive goals, I know you all know what I mean!

Lets jump into the numbers...

Hive Power

The last few weeks I have had great results on my growth in this area. I have been posting almost daily and all have come from organic efforts on my part. As of the time of writing up this post I'm currently at 4,294 Hive Power, which is an increase of 90 since last week. It puts me at 86% of my goal which is 5,000 HP before year's end. I'm going to make it comfortably with room to add more on top, I'm getting more excited as I can almost taste the 5K right now!

A big part of my goal was to achieve the HP growth through organic efforts. It's much easier to recruit new members with a personal success story. I also have been fortunate enough to have joined several very supportive groups along the way such as Silver Gold Stackers and The Alliance. Without them I don't think I would be anywhere near where I am today. So a huge thanks to #silvergoldstackers and #thealliance !

DUO Token and A Great Giveaway!

I am keeping DUO at my second spot because its' a great investment. I hold just under 800 right now. The overall purpose of the token is to provide support for recruiting and retaining of new Hive members. Plus you can receive a daily curation and liquid Hive dividends if you stake at least 200 DUO. There is a tipping bot function also once you stake 500 DUO. Tokens are selling at one Hive a piece right now but once this batch sells out the price jumps to 1.5 Hive per token. The best time to get in is now while it's still early!

I also want to highlight the great giveaway from the DUO token team. Right now there is a raffle going on to win one of three prizes of 50 DUO tokens. As of the time of writing I believe there are 121 total entries. One entry method is sponsoring the @duo-curator with HSBI units. Leo

A few weeks ago I added LEO to the goals for the year, shooting for 1,500 by Jan. 1. I have already passed 1,020 so I'm headed there slowly but surely!

PIMP

This was my secondary goal of the year, and as you can see it's now humbly in fourth place. It's still one of my favorite projects on Hive and a great investment. I want to make it to 50K by years end but as the prices stand right now that may not happen. I have 27,725 right now, more than halfway so there may be hope yet!

This is the only token on Hive that is physically backed by silver. That makes it a very appealing token to me an I am a precious metals enthusiast.

HSBI

My goal was to achieve 2,000 HSBI this year, and it's come and gone. I have far surpassed the goal and it feels great!

I'm up 34 units on the week, it is nice to see the numbers keep on building as well as my curations!

Passing the 2K mark wasn't an easy task. For months I was giving out HSBI daily in a re-blog lottery. Eventually it became too much work so I cut back to my current weekly one. SIM

I continue to hold just over one million SIM. I'm still sitting at the same spot and enjoying the daily liquid Hive dividends. I keep intending to buy more buy other things always seem to come up and get in the way. Such is life...

This token is inflationary, so you may lose some money on the capital you invest. The trade off is that it pay daily liquid Hive dividends, which is why I'm holding so many!

PWR

I'm continuing to delegate HP to empo.voter to receive daily PWR tokens. Currently I am placing all tokens earned into liquidity pools to earn further token rewards. Eventually it will pay on liquid Hive dividends to PWR holders which is why I like it!

Other Tokens

No changes here, just continuing to collect EDS, DBOND, and DAB. I'm continuing to build up DBOND daily and DAB pretty much daily as well. If you stake your DAB you are rewarded with DBOND, if you don't it pays liquid Hive dividends. You win either way. EDS is a nice stable token that does offer curation and dividends as well but I'm not presently buying more.

Silver

Silver has had an up and down week as you can see in the charts. It's holding on at just below $30 per Troy ounce. I'm a big believer in precious metals and silver in particular. For one thing it's affordable to buy (gold is expensive) and it will always have value even if the financial system completely falls apart. Hopefully that never happens but in the world today World War 3 seems to be a constant looming threat.

Each week I've been showing some nice coins available for investment and current pricing. This is the Australian Koala, a nice series that are really nice coins. I have a couple, but here's a stock image from APMEX.

Pretty aren't they? They are a great way to invest in silver. Right now for a random year they are $35.05 on APMEX.com, that's a $4.99 premium over the spot price of silver. You can find better deals, but these are really nice coins!
