If you missed the part where these young ladies found some dragon eggs, then you might be a little out of the loop. Over Christmas break this past year, the eggs were nurtured and out popped three lovely little dragons! Their scales are so incredibly soft and their eyes? It's like looking at unique galaxies far away upon each gaze.

The Hatching

It was a cold, crisp morning. One of those where you can see your breath as a light blanket of snow covered the ground. The day before, it was almost 70 degrees and that night, the temperature gauge dropped completely out of the thermometer bottom, spilling mercury everywhere. The earth knew something was coming. I did as well, seeing the glows of the reds, blues and greens overtake the twinkling of the Christmas lights on the tree. I knew, that again soon, dragons would be in my midst.

I kept vigil the entire night. Waiting. Watching. I almost felt like a child staying up to catch a glimpse of that insanely fast fucker in the red coat that drops presents off to good little boys and girls. Only, I was being patient to witness miracles happen.

And they did.

One by one, the glows ceased and little bird-like screeches were being heard in the condo. This aroused the dogs which in turn, made the cats nervous, and that must have stirred the princesses.

I was under the assumption that they were hungry. But, what does a dragon even eat? I discovered the answer upon seeing them all being swaddled and cuddled by their owners. Can you make a guess as to what feeds a dragon? I'll give you a hint, they share a heart with their soul bonds.

The Fire Dragon🔥

Was it love at first sight? Maybe it was first sound? Either way, the young dragonling has Princess @lunamoon mesmorized! She especially liked watching their wings unfold and took it upon herself to massage them so the blood flow was smoothly initiated. I chuckled as she commented how warm it was. She tells me that his name is 'Grendel'. Let's hope he doesn't have the same temper as the fictional character we also know by that name.

The Water Dragon🌊

'Cinder' is a natural born snuggle bug. He cozied up almost immediately in the arms of another snuggle meister, @freyamber. Despite being cool to the touch, you could feel the warmth of its soul radiating once it was in her arms. You wouldn't even have known it was a dragon had you not gotten close enough to see what it was. I am looking forward to see how the littlest princess handles being a 'mommy'.

The Earth Dragon🌋

The young dragonling 'Sapphire', was the final one to hatch out that morning. She bore no ill will to her cousins with the golden scales, no. Her royal purple was more of a rare combination and enhanced her magical powers beyond that of your typical draconic sorcery. She shimmered and reflected the same colors as the warrior princess - @khaldeesi - in response to the adoration of her newly found, soul-bonded mother.

So now, I guess that makes me some kind of a grandpa? I'm a sexy grandpa. Because I do what I do and you REMEMBER TO BE YOU! I always am, even if I'm jealous that my dragons are grown up now.
