Elections and the power to create anger.

  Elections period is always an interesting time to observe how humans are dumb and get attached so much to these guys that we vote and after a while they forget about us. People fight each other in the name of these guys who don't care about anyone. They just appear wanting out vote and then disappear in the void without giving any notice. The engagement of democracy during elections of every single citizen is mostly through social media! And that is the perfect arena when everyone just forgets that there is a human in the other side of the screen.

  We have a coming federal election next week. And in one side we see many people very tired of the current management of the party that leads the country since 2015. People got tired about over spending politics and questions how to deal the country after the 2020 COVID pandemics that destroyed the world economy in general. In the other side we can also find people unsatisfied with the current government, but they see the most popular opposition party not aligning with their ideals. So you see politicians taking the advantage of the week points of their rivals and creating memes and posts that make people more angry.

  So for example, recently I saw a post they someone posted in a facebook group about things happening in my town where it was talking how bad are the Liberals and how and making fun about the current prime minister calling him as "Mark carbon tax Carney". Carbon tax was the most unpopular move from the party to fight the climate change, which the impact of change was very controversial in addition to create more taxes for the consumers. However, the pot had 60 or more comments with people fighting pro or con the Liberal party, and of course including direct swearing.

  After a while I saw another post showing Pierre Polievre licking the boots of Donald Trump. Again, dozens of comments of Pierre's defenders and people who won't vote on him. Most of the times discussions leading to ignorance with swearing. It is a small city so probably some of these people can be seen in the streets, bringing kids to school or in the groceries.

  On top of all of that, I saw people that are added in my facebook entering in fights against acquaintances and also bad words are usually used in some of these fights. The world is getting crazy. The election will end next week with a result. And after that how people will be able to look to each other without remembering these episodes? And the politics will continue to ignore our needs. It is so sad to see friends, neighbors and co-workers fighting for a cause that isn't bringing any advantages for anyone. I am 100% sure that either Carney or Polievre as the new Prime Minister will continue to make people angry and with unattended needs .

  Períodos eleitorais são sempre um momento interessante para observar como os humanos são tolos e se apegam tanto a esses caras que votamos e, depois de um tempo, eles se esquecem da gente. As pessoas brigam entre si em nome desses caras que não se importam com ninguém. Eles simplesmente aparecem querendo votar e depois desaparecem no vazio sem dar nenhum aviso. O engajamento da democracia durante as eleições, para cada cidadão, se dá principalmente por meio das mídias sociais! E essa é a arena perfeita quando todos simplesmente esquecem que existe um ser humano do outro lado da tela.

  Temos eleições federais na próxima semana. E de um lado vemos muitas pessoas muito cansadas da atual gestão do partido que lidera o país desde 2015. As pessoas estão cansadas da política de gastos excessivos e questionam como lidar com o país após a pandemia de COVID-19 de 2020, que destruiu a economia mundial em geral. Por outro lado, também podemos encontrar pessoas insatisfeitas com o governo atual, mas que veem o partido de oposição mais popular não alinhado com seus ideais. Assim, vemos políticos se aproveitando da fraqueza de seus rivais e criando memes e postagens que deixam as pessoas ainda mais irritadas.

  Por exemplo, recentemente vi uma publicação que alguém publicou em um grupo do Facebook sobre o que está acontecendo na minha cidade, onde falavam sobre o quão ruins são os liberais e como zombavam do atual primeiro-ministro, chamando-o de "Mark, imposto de carbono, Carney". O imposto de carbono foi a medida mais impopular do partido para combater as mudanças climáticas, cujo impacto foi muito controverso, além de criar mais impostos para os consumidores. No entanto, a publicação teve 60 ou mais comentários com pessoas se manifestando a favor ou contra o Partido Liberal, incluindo, claro, palavrões.

  Depois de um tempo, vi outra publicação mostrando Pierre Polièvre lambendo as botas de Donald Trump. Mais uma vez, dezenas de comentários de defensores de Pierre e de pessoas que não querem votar nele. Na maioria das vezes, discussões que levam à ignorância com palavrões. É uma cidade pequena, então provavelmente algumas dessas pessoas podem ser vistas nas ruas, levando crianças para a escola ou no supermercado.

  Além de tudo isso, vi pessoas adicionadas ao meu Facebook brigando com conhecidos e, em algumas dessas brigas, palavrões são frequentemente usados. O mundo está ficando louco. A eleição terminará na próxima semana com um resultado. E depois disso, como as pessoas conseguirão se olhar sem se lembrar desses episódios? E a política continuará ignorando nossas necessidades. É muito triste ver amigos, vizinhos e colegas de trabalho lutando por uma causa que não traz nenhum benefício para ninguém. Tenho 100% de certeza de que Carney ou Polievre, como novo Primeiro-Ministro, continuarão a irritar as pessoas e a deixar necessidades não atendidas.
