Hive work is a skillset that could be monetized
There are many ways people make money to bring on the bacon.
Hive activities could be one for some.
As I look into my crystal ball, I see a nation of Hivers, prospering with the growth of Hive many years later. It is hard to explain or convince you of that reality, but thinking about what us Hiver know, and what the non-Hiver don't, puts me at ease.
This is especially when I think of Hive work is a skillset that could be monetized.
Keeping it simple...
My non-Hive friends:
- Do not know how Hive works.
- Do not know that writing posts can earn an income.
- Do not know that upvoting activities can earn income.
- Do not know how to behave in a way that builds following.
- Do not know the intricacies of Hive layer 2 opportunities and pitfalls.
- Do not know the nature of Hive communities.
- Do not know the existence of HBD.
- Do not know how to use the Hive wallets.
I could go on. But I stop here.
Collectively, they form a skillset that is related to Hive. Granted, some of us are more adept than others here. But my non-Hive friends? They know nothing.
What is starting to unfold is that we are not talking about an investment of capital here, we are talking about knowledge and skills.
Having a knowledge of Hive when the majority of people don't is an advantage.
I would liken it to any valuable skill the world needs, and some day there could be a need to systematically educating the world about Hive, if Hive blows up big!
Us having some knowledge and skillsets about Hive are actually sitting on something we can monetise.
Looking at things from this angle, we should feel at ease about our daily grind on Hive. As we use Hive, while the rest of the don't, we are learning to one day teach.
I wait for the day I can find a way to monetise my Hive skillset.
Cryptothesis Hive School, perhaps.
P/S: This is not financial advice, and please do your own due diligence before investing.

Now can you imagine that when someday all of this blows up big! Can you begin to think when mass adoption happens how rare hive would be👀. It would be amazing to see the growth
I think some day it will if it keeps getting developed through the different dapps offerings. But it could take years… !PIZZA
I think it has a bit to do with the first impression that the platform/community gives to newcomers, I saw many good posts go unnoticed that may lower the spirits of those new users even more
It's tough to get people onboarded here on Hive as most of them tend to be skeptical and Hive itself isn't that easy to understand.

So we do have a duty to understand it well and explain to others. !PIZZA

The problem with the non-hivers is that they don’t believe that you can write and earn. They don’t believe that you can curate posts and earn. They always have they silly excuse of having not time to write or engage. But they have time to be on Twitter, Snapchat and others the whole day.
Things that will only take from them and give them nothing in return. I hope they can see the light one day and also try to monetise their work.

Let them be poor ! Hahahah! !PIZZA
This is an interesting and forward looking concept. Non Hivers would definitely need lectures to understand the ecosystem when they hop in. Perhaps the more we engage and utilize the ecosystem, the more we will be able to explain it to the new users while also monetizing the process.
Yea! Don’t underestimate our Hive knowledge! !PIZZA
Knowledge is one of the keys to success. People pay for knowledge but only if they think they will have a benefit. A quick run up in price, or a great article in a mainstream news service can do wonders for Hive. That's what happened to Splinterlands a few years ago. The problem of course is turnover. Does Hive retain people or burn through? If there is a high failure rate in adoption of a system, then that is usually indicative of a flawed system.
When wonder happens, I want to have a stash of liquid Hive! Hahha !PIZZA
Did you mean that one of the ways you'd like to earn something in Hive, is to teach others how to use it? In a way some of the whales are doing it, just writing posts about it, but unfortunately for us, entering here a year (or 2,3, I don't know) ago it just doesn't seem to work like this any more. We'd need a way to bring Hive to the bigger public before we can pluck the fruits from our work in writing posts like this one... !LUV

I am actually thinking about our knowledge in Hive as enviable skills. We can give talks to friends, create another non Hive site, social media account etc.. to share our knowledge and profit from it. Who knows what that could bring.
Nevermind the whales, just do what we can. It’s a personal marathon race. Just enjoy what the blockchain brings and temper our hopes of its price mooning at the same time.
Have a plan to do well, but equally ok if it doesn’t. !PIZZA
You're right, but it would be better to find a the key or the secret to make this work... !LUV

It looks like I've not been adding to my automatic voting project. I've made that up for you now my friend. !PIZZA
Haha! No worries, mate. !PIZZA
I know my vote is not going to make a big difference, but a small bits could help... Like all slices of !PIZZA eventually will make a giant Pizza as well ;-)
Your fellowship matters, mate!
Wow thank you. I just have been reading you're one of the big boys now !LOL
I thought I could make a (small) difference to put my (extremely expensive bought) Hive in HP and got to a bit more than 1000 HP, but you're going to 10K immediately!
I really hope it's going to work out for you and once (soon) you're going to be able to pay your bills with the interests you're getting on Hive!
I do like as well your positivism when you were speaking about the possible future extra accounts in fact. I won't be able to manage another account... I'm now already behind in answering.
Stay in touch and good luck!

Yeah, part of my crypto thesis… to fill the bag and not put in more once I am satisfied with the bag. Since we are in the bear, DCA had been my recent moves.
I am just acting and adjusting according to my crypto thesis. What’s yours? !PIZZA
Mine has been learning a lot the last two years. In fact loosing a lot of money in "play to earn" games, actually investing in their currency :-(, I've been buying some NFT's as well which in the end lost their value, Trading bot platforms which were scams (Swapnex, COTP, Stablefund), Liquidity pools which all in all are just loosing money (I think they would make me profit if crypto goes up again in general); to end up in investing less and trying to get the "free" bits like on Hive (apart from my initial investment and my Hive that I have been buying through a bot, accidentially actually, which created red bags) and the few projects I still have running. Apart from that, indeed DCA over 3Commas, a trading platform which doesn't store my crypto (kept it in Binance)
Ouch.. sorry to hear about that. But you are not alone. It's a new market class, and there are plenty of pitfalls.
I had lost money due to some token deciding to change the denomination over a fork while the exchanges weren't totally aligned. I shall write about that someday.
At least I found Hive which gives me the space to keep growing. I am able to slowly work on my crypto thesis. Bumpy road but I am advancing.
