My InLeo Premium Experience Report and some Reno Silver

I have been enjoying fall this year quite a bit. Here it doesn't really get all that cold ever, and rarely do I find the need to even use a jacket. But in the morning it has been a little cooler which I really enjoy. The local trees have had their leaves start to change colors. It's been really nice. I hope the fall is treating you well so far this year!

On Wednesdays for the last few months I have been doing an InLeo premium update series, but I've cut that back to twice a month. Mainly because I was getting tired of doing it every week when there are so many other fun things to talk about. Today I'll be giving you another update because I'm at halfway point through my current month of membership. These usually end up being rather short so I tend to add something from my silver stash because I am a member of the silver gold stacker community. Today will be not exception!

First up though is the InLeo premium service. For those unfamiliar, it is a paid service that cost 10 HBD a month or 100 HBD for a year. I prefer the monthly plan because shelling out $100 is a little more painful than I like when avoidable even though in the long run it does cost me $20 more on an annual basis. There are several perks that you don't have on the free frontend usage. The ones I use most often are the longer threads and the ability to edit them as well. I frequently make mistakes when I'm in a hurry and end up having to go back and fix things. I guess the moral of the story is it's faster to not to rush in the first place...

Here is a screenshot of my InLeo premium service countdown, as you can see I have fifteen day remaining. That tells me that sixteen days have already gone by as each membership comes with 31 days of service.

One feature that isn't mentioned in the items above is that premium members get priority curation on their posts that are created on the InLeo frontend. It in no way guarantees a curation but your posts are considered before the non premium ones. So let's jump into the numbers for this month so far.

In my current membership I am sixteen days into it, to date I have created fourteen posts. As far as curation goes from @leo.voter I have seen three curations so far, however two of them were stake based curations. So that leaves just one curation from the InLeo premium so far for $5.40. Then removing the 55% that goes back to InLeo that leaves me with $2.43. Subtracting that sum from my initial investment of 10 HBD I am $7.57 in the red for this period. So my investment of 10 HBD has yet to pay itself off, however there are fifteen days left in the current membership.

I am hopeful that I will yet see the membership pay for itself and make some profit for this month. I have cut these posts back to twice a month now so the next update will be in two weeks right as the membership is ending. Then I can give you a more complete update for the entire period.

Now for some silver fun!

Today I want to share another of my Silver Striker tokens that I have collected over the years. These are commemorative casino tokens that are made with pure silver and were paid out when playing the Silver Strike slot machines in casinos around the globe. There aren't many casinos that have them anymore, out of curiosity I did an internet search and in Las Vegas there are two small casinos that still have them. Almost all casinos used to have them, so I think these are destined to vanish completely in the near future.

Today's token didn't come from Vegas, but it does come from a defunct casino which are my favorite one's to collect. This came from the Sundowner Hotel and Casino in Reno, Nevada. I picked this one up as part of a bulk buy I did years ago, while it's not the prettiest one I own it's still interesting and has some reddish oxidation it likely picked up from being stored in a high humidity environment at some point. Have a look:

About the token:

From silverstrikers.com

This is a nice token containing around 0.65 Troy ounces of silver surrounded by a brass ring. It's a piece of Nevada history now as the casino closed down over 20 years ago. As a general rule I don't pick up Reno, Nevada tokens, I have nothing against them I just haven't consciously ever collected them. What's nice about collecting these is the precious metal content, and plus since these tokens aren't being produced anymore the premiums on top of the silver prices have been climbing!

The Sundowner Hotel and Casino was opened in 1975 and expanded in the following years. But as is always the case a bigger resort/casino is built and eventually it was forced to shutdown in 2003 because it was losing money. It was briefly reopened as the Belvedere providing condos but during renovations a fire set them back significantly. Currently the property stands unused and with no clear plan for the future, it may eventually just be demolished...

That will wrap up my post for the day today. I hope you enjoyed my content, I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and check it out. Please feel free to leave any comments or questions below. I want to thank everyone for all of your support, it really is truly appreciated. Have a great day everyone!

And as always I am giving back 10% of this post's earnings through Comment Rewarder to those who engage my posts within the first three days of publication. My way to say thank you!

DUO token

Over three months ago now I started a new token with @bulliontools and @bitcoinman with the goal of helping onboard and retain new members, and DUO was born. While we are still in the early phases it has grown quickly and currently has about 22,148 Hive Power in the curation account. For those who purchase and stake at least 200 tokens they are rewarded with a daily curation on their quality posts and daily Hive dividends. For those staking over 500 you have the ability to use the tipping bot and give out a DUO tip daily, and in return you also receive the same amount of DUO in your account as well. It pays to tip with DUO! Plus not many people out there have enough to tip yet, so it's pretty cool to give out DUO tips.

Right now tokens are one Hive a piece until the current tranche runs out, then it jumps to 1.5 Hive each. So get in early while it's still inexpensive! You can find DUO for sale here:

I am surprised that the Ecency points were not acceptable for using for curation, but buying Inleo premium membership is not classed as vote buying.

Hopefully you don't end up with losses with the membership and that it will pay off in the end.

I've been doing it for more than eight months and always came out with almost double my investment. I anticipate I'll see more votes over the next couple of weeks.

I think they get around it because they manual curate all of the posts. I liked it when you could use ecency points for curation, but they got strong armed out is what I understood.

I had to finally break down the other day and turn the heat on. We have been dropping down into the mid to low 30's at night now. I'm hoping I only have to mow my lawn one more time this year onces the leaves are fully down.

That's too bad, I hate turning on the heat. It's just nice when you have that period of no AC cost and no heating costs. It sure saves money, but with low 30's at night you have no choice but to turn on that heat!

Yeah I totally agree with you. We had a good stretch over the last couple of months with quite low utility bills.

The priority curation from the InLeo Premium Subscription for sure helps with covering its cost. While you need to be quite active to fully cover that and maybe get some on top, I believe that it is quite worth it. I plan to go for my second month of Premium Subscription.

I've been doing it for about eight months now, and I've always come out with a profit. This month has been starting a little slow on curations, which is why I submitted two for staked based curation. I expect I'll see more votes over the next two weeks to make up for the slow start though. They tend to take card of their premium members!

you should have 2 quota of staked base curation, so that means you only receive 1 upvote from the premium membership.

I already had both of my staked curations used up, and only the one from the premium membership so far. Hopefully they will catch me up, this is an odd start in my experience...

In Venezuela we don't have the four seasons, we only have something that can be called winter and summer, in theory, winter is ending, and here it is really hot. 35 degrees and a wind chill of 40 or so.

I also have two months as premium and so far this month, I have only been voted once, although I am a great disseminator of the goodness of inleo, but I do that in Whatsapp groups, and managed to get several friends to be included, but I have told them all that it is not necessary that they make reference that I guide them, I also hope and aspire to be able to pay next month's membership with the possible earnings for which I enter, but I also have a lot of fun, it has also happened to me that I have made a mistake in the threads.

While I was looking at the coin you post I looked for a 1 Bolivar coin I have, that's what it's called. But this coin has absolutely no value, in Venezuela they have removed 14, yes 14 zeros from the currency, you can imagine the terrible devaluation we are living here. This is the currency.

I have a few of the old silver Bolivar's from Venezuela stored away, they were cool coins back then! I know how the weather is in those parts, I lived in the Caribbean for four years. Winter is never cold just a little cooler. I haven't been to Caracas since the mid 1990's before Chavez took power. It wasn't safe for anyone on a US passport after that... It's a beautiful place though!

My dear @thebighigg a pleasure to read you. I came to the conclusion that an inleo premium account is a profitable investment. The truth is that I would like to have the money to pay the year's subscription and forget to be paying month to month, plus we would save, if I remember correctly, about $ 20.

As for the casino chip, it looks very nice, as I told you once, I have my mother's coin collection here and I personally have some silver items that I use, as I prefer it over gold.

Halfway through the Month, how did that happen Lol!
Excellent collection of Silver striker tokens!👍
So many casinos have gone belly up, such a shame, big money, risk and rewards !😇

No idea how it flew by, it's really kind of scary when you think about it!

Casinos are a rough business, you have to compete with all the other big boys who develop fancier and more luxurious locations for not much more than your price and next thing you know you're bankrupt!

I guess that's why guys like Wynn was constantly building new casino deals realizing that the older ones would have to demolished and rebuilt as something else....

Very true, people can be finicky. They’re always looking for the latest, the newest, the same goes for casinos I suppose…….
When they get bored, or see a better casino, they go to the competitor!🙄

In past I had hustle on LEO but it didn't pay off much. But ocne I got free from that hustle, now things are more relaxed, I only chase HP and each day growing HP is good enough. Unless you write long form daily basis and don't miss the leovoter then everything is fine, the moment you start to miss the schedule and votes it becomes waste activity.

I have been a premium member twice I guess and it was worth it. I have a lot of my plate for now and can't afford it for now, but soon I'll hop on it again.

I know that feeling. There have been a few times that I didn't have the ten HBD so I had to wait until it built up. I don't like bringing money in from my BTC or other crypto unless it's a really good reason.

I hope all that stuff going on isn't too stressful. Stress is a really bad thing, one of the worst parts of life I've found over the years. But it always comes back from time to time...

One time when I was running the fc-leo-curator account, I did notice something.

I noticed since the account isn't premium, the post submitted for stake-based curation if ever curated gets a lower percentage compared to anyone who is subscribed.

So, I would say your total calculation should include the curation you received even though it was stake-based. If you weren't premium, I believe the total value would have been lower.

It is just my observation. I am not saying that's how it works.

I hope you will get more value in the remaining 15 days and I will be looking forward to your feedback.

Thanks! My stake based and regular premium votes are always right at the same level. I've not seen a difference between the two. I honestly have no idea how it works either being completely on the outside, you may be completely right though! It is really nice to get the stake based votes though, and I'm working to get my LEO up to 2K staked to be eligible for four a month rather than two!

I guess by months end I will have a better idea, so I guess keep tuned for the next report in a couple weeks! How long did you run the fc-leo-curator account?

Everyone has been frequently talking about fall and how lovely it is. Maybe take some pictures sometimes and let's see how the environment looks.
I think doing a weekly report is good, I think it just checkmates how things works.

Fall is really beautiful on the east coast of the country, there are so many trees that when the leaves change it's gorgeous. Here most of the trees I see change are local ones in parks, they just don't even compare the other side of the country. I love fall when I lived on the east coast, it was beautiful!

I cut back to every two weeks because I was getting tired of it, but I may switch back if everyone enjoyed seeing the weekly progression.

I think it's important to always check all crypto investments to see if they worth it. I have lots of other stuff besides those tokens, but they are fun to share. Plus I have them all photographed already before they got securely stored away for insurance reasons. I don't keep a whole lot of precious metals around the house, it can make you an easy target for a robbery.
