This is my very first entry in the Shadow Hunters Community Contest in about 2 years time. I've been a very buzzy Hive bee since then, so it fell by the wayside, but I've wanted to jump back in pretty much the whole time, so here I am!
These photos that I'm sharing with you here were taken today, in the early-morning light. They are (mostly) the leaves of the blue turmeric - Curcuma aeruginosa, a rarer species of turmeric, closely related to the usual orange and yellow variants. I planted this patch about 3 years ago, and and it is quite a glorious sight when the sun back-lights the leaves. Because it is so beautiful, I find myself taking photos of the play of sun and shadows on their leaves very often. I hope that you find them as lovely as I do! It was really difficult to choose only one photo for my entry! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
