My first rewards

This morning the first SLOTHBUZZ rewards have arrived.

Ka-ching!

Together with my morning coffee I received 0.1658 SB staked and liquid each. Of course I powered up the liquid immediately.

So now I have 0.331 SB powered up and my vote is starting to count.

That means from now on I will also earn curation rewards. Jippieh! 🎉

I started this journey into Sloth.buzz intentionally without buying any stake in the beginning.

The goal is to see how one can grow from nothing to something here.

What it's worth

So right now the buy and sell orders have a huge gap.

The big buy order for 1.01 HIVE and the sell orders come from the @slothburn account, as we can see from the latest burning post. So right now it does not seem to be on anyone's radar.

Anyway, right now I got about 0.3 Hive or 0.13 USD pocketed and no intent on selling.

Where it will go

To figure out where this is going, let us have a look at where we are:

There is a max of 420M which (for comparison) is less than half of what LEO might one day reach for a total (LEO max: 1000M). And LEO is doing pretty well. Ok, this might be comparing apples and oranges but gotta start somewhere.

Right now we have less than 10k in circulation. And the burning has already begun. 🔥

So where will this go? I don't know. That is why I am hesitant to buy any tokens. It might crash and go up in flames any day but it might also skyrocket and become "the place to be" all of a sudden. 🤔

In my (very humble) opinion it depends on whether some influencer (I think we call them whales here in HIVE 😉) one day decides to jump on board. That would give this all a boost for sure.

And so far I have no idea who else is behind this project, other than @slothlydoesit, to take over in case of emergency. I have to do some digging on that (I think this ping might be the first step into that direction 😏).

Ever since I joined HIVE I encountered stuff that was already there for a long time (you know, more than one year is almost an eternity these days) or I missed the start. If this goes somewhere (and I would not invest my time if I did not see a chance for that) I want to be part of it.

Did I mention it's a lot of fun? The humor is just right for me. It's like a lovechild of an anthropomorphised oxymoron and an ambitious sloth. 😍

And then the uncle taught it sarcasm and the aunt self-deprecating jokes. 😝

Memes

And of course there is the discord server on which the current meme contest is running. Mostly the aunt and uncle are are doing their thing in there. 😏

I started the day with another of my cat memes. She was kind enough to supply me with a lot of pictures over the years to capture into memes.

Most of my memes are based on pictures I took myself. On the rare occasion that I use one with a person in it (as long as it's not a stranger from a public place) I make sure the face is not visible to protect their privacy. 🤡

My latest entry was in celebration of today's gain of power. That one I took at the Medival Spectaculum which is a festival that comes into our region every May.

Last time I was there I did not take many pictures, I was not posting on HIVE yet. This year will be different. I figure the meme contest will still be running then so might be a good place to get some nice pictures for some nice memes. ⚔️

But wait, there is more. They also have a radio station running with currently four channels. I mostly listen to "Epic moments", it seems to boost my creativity. 🎼

In the latest post they mention advertisement possibilities coming soon. I figure that will be the connection, a use case for SB tokens. If that is the case, they get an actual real life value which most other tokens are currently missing. 🤑

There is also an app. Sadly I can not switch stations in there (android version) and am stuck at the main station. I figure this will improve eventually and with more stations to come I might one day even listen to it at work. I need rock music there to get this sloth going. 🎸

Did I mention it is royalty free music mostly? So ideal for including in your stream or videos. 🎬

Let me point out the "Epic moments" station again. The royalty free music is labeled as such for you to find it. 🎶

Final thoughts
