Three Tune Tuesday, Halloween Starting Early!

(Edited)

Well it's official, we are almost in the middle of October. Halloween decorations are out everywhere in neighborhoods with more extravagant displays every year. I personally don't get into all the Halloween decorations, but some people really seem to enjoy it. It is more fun when you have younger kids around I suppose, but it's been a few years since I had one of those around. But since everyone out there is getting into the Halloween spirit I thought I would start the Halloween music off a little early this year too.

Before I jump into the music I would like to say thank you @ablaze for starting and continuing to sponsor this weekly event. If you don't already participate why don't you join the fun and share three of your favorite songs. One winner is chosen at random to win 5 HSBI units, and you can never have too many of those!

Last year I thought about including the first one for all three songs on the Halloween Three Tune Tuesday. After all, who is more Halloween worthy than the one and only Alice Cooper? This song was used in a classic movie Wayne's World (1992) along with a cameo by the singer. It is perfect to start off an early Halloween TTT!

Alice Cooper

Alice Cooper has been in the hard rock music scene since the late 1960's and has been a major influence of the music genre. His shows are as much about showmanship as the music being the first to bring "shock" rock to the forefront. His shows are full of props and magic acts as well. I had a chance to see one when I was in Phoenix, Arizona, and it was blast! Let's kick off the fun with "Feed My Frankenstein":

Twisted Sister

Next up I decided to bring in another classic band from the 1980's, after all there really is no band quite like Twisted Sister. They really took glam rock to the extreme in the eighties, but produced some classic songs that are still played today and covered by other bands on a regular basis. Although they are officially retired, it never seems to stick so I expect a reunion concert will happen sooner than later. But this song fits perfectly with the early Halloween theme: "Burn In Hell"

The Cult

futuro.cl

And this last song isn't quite as deep in the Halloween theme, but they have always been one of my favorite bands. The Cult are and English rock band that formed in the early 1980's. They were a band that was able to create hard rock style music and still were able to cross over into the alternative music scene as well. They created some great music over the years and are always a lot of fun to listen to. This song is a fun one though called: "Lil' Devil"

That will wrap up today's edition of #threetunetuesday. If you do decide to create your own post for #TTT just use one of the tags I just used and do a shoutout @ablaze just to be safe. Thanks for taking the time to check out my post for today, I really appreciate all of your support! Please feel free to leave any comments or questions below. Thanks again everyone!

Just a quick note to finish off I forgot to use comment rewarder yesterday, so I'm bumping it up to ten percent today. I hope it prevents my comment votes from being turned to dust!

I thought about throwing some Alice out there this week, but I ended up going a different direction. Nice selection of songs! It's not related, but I see that Motley Crue has a new box set coming out around the Thanksgiving timeframe.

I just was in the mood for Alice, it's fun music! I wonder if that new box set will be any good or just a remix of old sets released again to make more money.....

I'm not sure. My buddy has a bunch of the box sets, but he is a much bigger fan of them than I am. It's part of the Record Store Day Black Friday release list.

Thank you! They are fun to put together, I have a bunch of songs that are perfect for it but only so many picks in a #TTT. I do participate in #ninetiesfriday though, so I can add a few there as well!

It's hard to beat the Halloween shock and ahh of Alice Cooper Lol😀
His songs were heavily played in the 70s...... "schools out for the summer" "I'm 18 and I don't know what I want" "no more Mr. nice guy".........
Now I will need to go listen to all this again!😀

He was big in 70's, but never really went away. He still has his own radio show in Phoenix!

As always the 80's were one of the best musical eras that can exist, of course the young people of today may differ from that, but my daughters one of 16 and the other of 13 share this genre that you are bringing today, I have enjoyed it.

First time I read a disclaimer, I think I will pronounce something similar in my publications of my musical Sundays.

I agree completely, in a lot of ways it was the last decade that you needed a lot of talent to get anywhere. You couldn't go viral on a video, it was all hard work and perfecting your music to catch the eye of a music producer. That's why so much of it is covered by singers even today. The world has changed a lot since the 80's, I barely can recognize my own country or the world, it all so different...

That is great! In Spanish I like more of the romantic songs as well, but more rock in English. This post is full of very old bands!

These songs I've never heard before, but it feels good to discover new songs via the #ttt. Thanks to @abkaze for the initiative and thanks to you for sharing good music.

They are older songs, from the late 80's and early 90's. It probably explains why you haven't heard of them before! lol

Thanks Amie! How are you doing?
