1985-1989 Alternative Rock Picks
On this #ThreeTuneTuesday
I’m picking three tunes from the mid eighties this week! First up a technically considered punk band X and there 1985 song “The New World”. Second up it’s the eighties band Husker Du who is a eighties alternative favorite and very much influenced much of the early nineties alternative that blew up years after they broke up in 1988, my second pick is there 1986 song “Don’t Want To Know If Your Lonely”. Then up third it’s the band Dinosaur Jr and there song “Kracked” from there 1987 record. Bonus Jam I keep the order going after our 85/86/87 released main picks! I go with Nirvana and a song of there 1989 record Bleach and I will be picking a 1988 pixies song! That way we cover 1985-1989 🎸

Naw. Bad experience last time.
🤣 fair enough!
Oh wow
I love them and I’d share some with you soon
Oldies are timeless, great pick.
Some great choices! X are great, to this day my favorite version of the song "Wild Thing" was done by them. New World was good song, fun to listen to it again. Husker Du I didn't know but they have that punk sound to them good son. Dinosaur Jr I've heard before but it's been years, that was a good song. Very alternative. And of course early Nirvana, they were a great band before they it big, and that was before Dave Grohl too wasn't it?
