As for me, I’ve been a part of this incredible journey for four years. While I consider myself a decent player, my path through the Splinterlands universe has been a thrilling roller-coaster ride. The learning curve was steep, with tons of information to digest! But now, I’m ready to give back and share the knowledge I’ve gathered along the way.
You want ... REMARKABLE! Here we go! I officially joined on December 26th, 2021, and after all the remarkable adventures and remarkable lessons learned along the way, I proudly consider myself a remarkable OG player!
It’s been a truly remarkable journey, and I’m excited to share my remarkable insights with the community. Let’s level up together and make this experience even more remarkable!
It's the age of the battle mage, and the only way to keep up with the game is to make your deck better! When I pulled out a gold foil Nidhoggr it felt like I won the jackpot! The dragon summoner was over-powered... but also valued at $175 on the market! I had a dilemma ... to hold or sell!
I played several games with Nidhoggr and never lost one, but this summoner is so expensive that can be used in only few battles. Praetoria trembled as Nidhoggr stretched his wings!
Nidhoggr: Force Reduction, -1 Health & -1 Armor
Night Reaper: Caster with Flying and Wingbreaker
Rune Arcanist: Caster with Weaken
Daygendark Surveyor: Support with Magic Reflect
Daarg Deadblast: Caster with Swiftness and Weapons Training
Redwyrm Hatchling: Ranged with Dodge and True Strike
Nidhoggr was going to boss this battle, boosting his army and reducing the strength of the enemies! Draag gave spell power to the little surveyor and speed to everyone else.
The Anasth Soothsayer was bombarded with spells, and Janni Rebel was receiving blast damage as well. My army was pushing for a quick win while the Meriput Magician was trying to keep my enemies alive!
The tiny healer failed, as the Soothsayer's demise came quickly. Janni was next, and soon, Captain Katie had to take the lead. She managed to take down the Night Reaper and taste Bloodlust, but she wasn’t strong enough for what was yet to come!
Katie was weakened, and the Rune Arcanist delivered the deadly blow! We banished the demon with swiftness, and it was time to get rid of the naughty Meriput Magician.
The little guy gave a fair fight, healing himself and eliminating the Rune Arcanist from the battle. He survived more than expected, casting spells and heals! However, it was impossible for him to maintain high health, and he soon had to accept a tragic fate. It was game over in seven rounds! ++See the full battle here!++
I decided to list it and was a bit sad to see that the floor price dipped to $125 in only few weeks! It sold quickly after it was added to the market, and I had a big bag of DEC to improve my deck into something remarkable!
The first step was to buy a level one Nidhoggr, spending only $18 for the basic card and keeping $107 profit after the downgrade! The next stage of the pack evolution was to level up OG cards!
My only Alpha card is the Minotaur Warrior, therefore I moved to upgrading the Beta cards! Got the Baby Unicorn at level four, the Ettin Spearman and Spineback Wolf at level three, and bought the Goblin Chef and the Enchanted Defender because they were cheap!
Things got serious when I moved to the Untamed cards, where some cards where already at good levels or had some in duplicates! I upgraded many OG cards that I still use a lot, and added some spare ones on the market.
You can't deny that the Undead Rexx is unstoppable at level four, or the difference in power that the Efreet Elder or the Ant Miners got when upgraded!
Went on a remarkable shopping spree for the Chaos Legion cards, and I am now holding 197 different units! A plethora of powerful cards that will boost me through the ranks!
Bought a couple of legendary zero mana fiends, and then some beasts like Countess Sinash and Grum Flameblade! Adelade Brightwing gained Resurrect at level two, and Djinn Chwala gained one armor and one health when upgraded to level three!
I even invested in the Soulbound cards, and got many units at level six for an extra ability! The Dumake Orc gained Counter-Strike, the Gobson Bomber gained Piercing, Repair for the Ferox Defender and Heal for the Imperial Knight!
However, the boost that will win me battles was reached when I leveled up the Coastal Sentry to level six! Now this beauty will deal two attacks of four damage, with Piercing added on top! Beware!
Time will tell if I've done a good deal when I sold the gold foil Nidhoggr, but I think I did! Upgraded lots of cards and bought several missing pieces, and the dragon summoner wouldn't do such a big change!
Got some Rebellion packs as well, but this is a story for another day! I spent a lot on cards and packs, and still got 53,500 $DEC left! The plan is to hold it for the Wild Pass, Hall of Legends cards, and other unexpected drops!
Did the deck upgrade created a clear improvement in win rate? I think it did, as I am now often linking 4-5 winning matches... while using some of the cards I boosted! Level one Nidhoggr is still unbeatable!
Nidhoggr: -1 Armor and -Health & boosts
Coastal Sentry: Melee with Double-Strike
Pallus: Melee with Flying, Reach and Kindred Spirit
Clockwork Aide: Support with Swiftness
Berix Sneakeye: Ranged with Weapon Training and Void Armor
Noa The Just: Support with Rust
I boosted three units with Blast and Deathblow... and let the battle unfold! Berix gave ranged attack to the support units and my team was pumped up! LFG!
The Coastal Sentry is one of my favorite cards, and boosting the double attack with Blast was mind-blowing! One round gone and half of the opponent's team was already in the grave!
The rangers were hitting with excessive force, while Pallus and the Coastal Sentry were blowing the enemies into particles! Flawless Victory! See the full battle here!
