RE: Comment Rewarder! Sharing 50% of This Post's Author Rewards with Commentors
You are viewing a single comment's thread:
So, you set @commentrewarder as one of the authors, and it will distribute 3 days after payout?
Hmmmmm 🤔
I hope it works out. It probably should, except for edge cases.
I prefer voting on replies. But, i have enough HP to get those to the 2¢ payout.
Most hivers would just be wasting their vote power. So, this may be an alternative. As long as the payout is large enough to send minimum payments to each contributor.
Also need to check how much RCs that commentrewarder has. It will need a lot of HP, to send all those rewards.

The cut-off for comments is 3 days. Once the post pays out in 7 days, it'll also reward the commentors. If the post is at $4.80, then $1.20 will be distributed to each account that comments on this post. Currently it's only three, so $0.40 USD each ain't too bad for a comment. !BBH
@builderofcastles! @ironshield likes your content! so I just sent 1 BBH to your account on behalf of @ironshield. (4/100)

Instead of services like Comment Rewarder, the most logical solution would be to remove the $0.02 USD threshold on the technical level. For example with a hardfork.
Well, we probably really needed a percentage of HIVE price algorithm.
The 2¢ was highly supported, until the price of HIVE went up, and 2¢ became a lot easier, and then those upper level supporters screeched.
For the most part, i believe 2¢ is too high of a bar, but if you lower it too much, you get people just voting for themselves, and making too much computation for the servers.
Ted never wanted to answer me on how the long tail (they so proudly posted) was really cut much shorter than they pictured.
Yes that's true, people would probably self-vote. But besides it being frowned upon, their VP would diminish quickly and their rewards would be almost worthless. It would eventually not be worth the effort. They also would drain their resource credits, which would put a stop to any excessive drain for the servers. To get around it, they would have to buy HIVE and power up, and that's not a terrible thing.
I think the servers could handle something like a 0.001 USD threshold, even with all the "dust" transactions. I've been using dustsweeper to ensure even the small upvotes get counted.
