My Actifit Report Card: July 11 2024
Hallo liebe Hivians und Fitnessfreunde!
Am heutigen Tag gab es keinen Ausflug. Wir haben noch ein paar restliche Besorgungen erledigt bevor es morgen für eine Woche nach Ameland in den Urlaub geht.
Am Nachmittag bin ich dann mit dem Fahrrad zum Crossfit gefahren. Für heute stand wieder ein Hero-Workout auf dem Programm. Das Workout ist nach dem U.S. Navyseal Glen Doherty benannt der 2012 bei einem Feuergefecht in Bengasi ums leben gekommen ist.
Das Workout "Glen" besteht aus:
30 Clean and Jerks (35 kg)
1 Meile Laufen
10 Rope Climbs
1 Meile Laufen
100 Burpees
Für die Clean and Jerks habe ich ungefähr 4 Minuten gebraucht. Leider kann ich in den Crossfit-Schuhen nicht gut laufen da diese keine so gute Dämpfung haben. Also musste ich vor dem Laufen noch die Schuhe wechseln was unnötig Zeit gekostet hat.
Die 10 Rope-Climbs waren so schwer wie ich sie erwartet hatte. Leider musste ich auch hier wieder vor und nach den Climbs die Schuhe wechseln.
Die 100 Burpees habe ich in einem Stück durchgemacht. Hier habe ich ein Tempo gewählt, wo ich alle 100 in einem Durchgang schaffen konnte (ca. 10 Minuten)
Insgesamt habe ich das Workout in einer Zeit von 40 Minuten und 20 Sekunden geschafft.

There was no excursion today. We did a few last-minute errands before going on vacation to Ameland for a week tomorrow.
In the afternoon I rode my bike to Crossfit. Another Hero workout was on the program for today. The workout is named after U.S. Navy Seal Glen Doherty, who died in a firefight in Benghazi in 2012.
The "Glen" workout consists of:
30 Clean and Jerks (35 kg)
1 mile run
10 Rope Climbs
1 mile run
100 burpees
It took me about 4 minutes to do the clean and jerks. Unfortunately, I can't run well in the Crossfit shoes as they don't have such good cushioning. So I had to change my shoes before I started running, which cost me a lot of time.
The 10 rope climbs were as hard as I had expected them to be. Unfortunately, I had to change my shoes again before and after the climbs.
I completed the 100 burpees in one go. I chose a pace here where I could do all 100 in one go (approx. 10 minutes)
Overall, I completed the workout in a time of 40 minutes and 20 seconds.
